Fall out 4 on the Xbox One literally drops to 0fps in spots- or freezing, not sure

Syntaxvgm

Not all mods are created equal: Bethesda are lazy shitheads that leave tons of bugs that are as simple as items with the wrong stats in the game and never patch them. They can at least get those without performance impact.

I feel like the most popular console mods will be stabilization mods/user patches

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Probably.

Considering how hard it hits the 980Ti and other high end cards on that other performance thread, this comes as no surprise.

Well in fact considered it's Bethesda this isn't a surprise just because of that: I remember Morrowind dropping to 5-10 FPS on the xbox and even relatively high end PCs still struggled quite a bit on release.

Zing!

It looks bad, how is this possible.

Same thing happened with Witcher 3 on the PS4, only no one talked about it. Made dealing with wolves a total pain in the ass.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Ah, the launch of a Bethesda game is a wonderful thing isn't it?

Bugs, bugs as far as the eye can see.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

I can almost grantee that this is an issue with the hard drives performance (just like the GTA5 fiasco where stuff would not load in quickly enough).

To be fair, some do. Remember the Skyrim update that made dragons fly backwards? :P

But yeah, I'll wait a few months until Bethesda has patched things or there are patches made by modders.

Here we go fellas, hunker down for the incoming media shitstorm when this game releases for real.

Seriously though, hopefully this will stop Bethesda from getting a free pass whenever something goes wrong (why does this even happen in the first place?). Their games are consistently buggy, ugly, and poorly optimized. Yes they are usually fun and engaging, but for a company known for putting out immersive games they sure do try really hard to break that immersion constantly with graphical bugs and poor performance.

Because their games are fun, remember fun? I don't give them a free pass, but I can see why some do.

Actually not really. Morrowind was the last Elder Scrolls that I consider fun as stand alone. Oblivion was just fucking stupid without mods: random thieves in daedric armor are ok since every single enemy and encounter is precisely leveled to you. It was so bad it was actually better to do a character with no skills you planned on using to level up skills a lot while your overall level was still 1 yet you had enough skills to kill all.

Skyrim was a tad better but again, the launch, unmodded version is mostly fucking crap. Its a bit better on the leveling of enemies but still pretty shit and they tried a bit harder on the lore and feel with the viking chants and all that nonsense but still was like a handful of the skills (Down to 3 weapon skills when in previous games we had like 10) and overall pretty shitty, again only the modding community saved the game into the legend it is today.

Fallout 3 also was quite shit at launch, the story and ending was laughably bad it was only saved by the community. See a pattern here? Fallout New Vegas was buggier but a lot better,  coincidentally the one game out of the bunch that wasnt done by Bethesda happens to be the best as a stand alone.

Well it is Bethesda, I was expecting something like this to happen at launch. Now listen, I love Bethesda Softworks games to death, but at launch they are always buggy as heck.

True that. I've been watching some gameplay footage since seeing this thread and oh my, the Bethesda-isms in this game are wonderful and haven't changed a bit.
