Not everyone wants a console, not everyone is rich enough to blow $1000+ on some metal and plastic.

Though I will admit it's annoying as shit and I'm really getting bored of this forum :c

I disagree with your "Anything under $900 don't bother" point, but I am tired of seeing it. They're all the same. Mini-ITX board, low-end Intel CPU, Source 210 case, CX430 PSU, a single 8GB dimm, and a 1TB HDD. Then whatever GPU you can fit in the budget. Meh.

my buddy and I were seeing what we could do for 500.

at $435 we had a full system with G3258 on a H87 motherboard running at 4.7 ghz,8GB RAM, a GTX 760 with a SSD and a HDD

you'd be surprised what you can do

you all should be ashamed of yourselves invalidating the work of those who don't have the budget for an expensive build.

$1,000 PC is max settings at 1080p, and even 1440p. It's not "eh." It's called "Not over-the-top."

Eh I don't mind em too much but this should only be updated when something major happens like "Oh well now we can put a 960 here since it's out" or "Oh look the 280 is really down in price" and not as often since it's always an i3 paired with a 750 or 260x anyway.

1080p max settings at $600 is easy in almost any title if you prioritize correctly and bargain hunt.

Sort of. You're not really wrong, but that's only if you either find an incredible deal, or you skimp out on some hardware. (Like finding a 280x for $150.)

don't criticize the build. threw it together in 5 minutes to make a point.

respectable specs, didn't even compromize 2 memory channels, and it includes a pretty damn good SSD to boot.

I believe 1080p 60fps is eh because nowadays this is standard , so over the top is not over the top its just above average.

$500 is more than enough to enjoy all multiplayer games on a pc. If you did not know this people put in most hours in games that do not require beast pc's. Cs:Go, LoL, Dota 2, sc2, old mmo's. And it even can run most new games easily. 760 is more than enough.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Spoiler

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

agreed. I have several AAA titles that I spent $60 on when they were new, but I still play LoL more than all of them combined.(and I've spent a grand total of $10 on LoL)

PC gaming isn't supposed to be a fancy clubhouse with a minimum buy in if you want to play. if a computer's specs is enough for somebody to have a good time, that's all it needs to be.

yes and a pentium or an i3 is more than enough to run them.

I see ah flame war a'brewin'!

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
