But seriously. The reference to QUALCOMM was about phones, Windows 10 for Phones, in case you couldn't tell.

They meant Windows 10. Windows 10 happens to run on more than 1 type of device. There is no "full edition" bs. They all run the same core OS.

Get over yourself.

And? It shares a lot of similarities with the Holographic Edition and Mobile Edition.

EDIT: The point I'm trying to make is that the fundamental parts of Windows 10 are similar or the same. The parts which are different are mainly the GUIs, intended use cases, interaction methods and apps/programs available for them.

I work as a IT technician so I have a lot of customer contact. Recently I had an mid 2009 Macbook Pro in the shop, the customer said his cursor does funny things like flying around and stuff. I booted it up, which took almost 3 minutes to get to the desktop. The mouse worked perfectly fine, so I called him and he asked after a performance upgrade, because the speed up tools he uses doesn't work for him. I made him an offer for a SSD upgrade but he just refused and said "I think my software can fix that too. Thanks anyway" and was gone. Let's see how long it takes until he comes back and wants a new Macbook.

Silly Mac buying sheeple when will they learn?  lol

He says software hasn't fixed an issue but then insists that software can help all of a sudden.  Wtf?  ?

Also I do not miss my old laptop taking so long to boot up and be ready to use.

My current desktop has a Samsung 850 PRO for the boot drive and it is fully booted up and ready to use in about 30 seconds.  ?

At this point I feel like the bios is what's bottlenecking boot times, not the SSD xD. Seriously, on my desktop most of the time I'm waiting for it to boot up is when it's still in the bios :P. It takes about 15 seconds until the little loading circle appears and within about 2-3 seconds it gets to my login screen, then after I login it only takes around 2 seconds to get to my desktop.

People freak out about getting nvme drives and 960 pros as well as 3D optane, but for anything the average user does SATA SSDs are fine. You need to be doing large file transfers to actually get much of a performance boost out of nvme.
