my browsing habits require this.

its for sure got a few options if you use firefox or any of its derivatives.
last i checked chrome only had one addon that did this, and did it well for what it was.

Manjaro (or dd for Manjaro/Arch) developers.

Simply, why not break the USB, make 2 partitions and assume the 2 partitions combined are 32 GB instead of 16 GB max capacity?

And change sdb to sdf for no reason?

And skip 4 drive letters on the sdf/sdb's?

And assume one is Ext when i never even formatted it as Ext?

Just for this i'm reinstalling WIndows and installing LInux from that. And removing WIndows again. Are u srs m8?

It makes its home in the CPU cooling funnel to catch delicious FPS escaping through the heatsink.  When they die, you can harvest them out of your system for +20 dedotated wam, hence why he taped it up, to prevent the spider escaping before its time

So, I was trying to add value to my NFC payment card.

(Insert generic image of the type of NFC card here)

HK-MTR-Octopus-Card1.jpg

And I was going to the 7/11 convenient store next to the Ferry pier. I go in, stand behind some guy and he's just about to pay for his newspaper and water when the cashier starts muttering Chinese words and gets real pissed off.

A few minutes later the cashier asks the guy in front of me to pay cash. The cashier then calls over another employee nearby and (I'm guessing) asked for assistance.

Then  the other employee grabs out a keyboard and tries to ALT TAB numerous times without success. At this point I had the feeling that the Point Of Sales machine (made by HP) crashed or froze (bear in mind that they run Enterprise Linux).

Then the other employee says in English "It needs to reboot. Pay Cash only". And you can imagine I was quite pissed off :(.

Well I assume it's that cos all other 7/11s in my area run Suse Enterprise Linux....

It would make no sense for it to be Windows based.

Um... I think that post is like 10 years old. Obviously now you can build a PC for the same price as what that one cost 10 years ago that performs much better...

Just look at the specs. It's a core 2 duo and an 8800gtx, both of which are like 10 years old or something like that.

I work as a IT technician so I have a lot of customer contact. Recently I had an mid 2009 Macbook Pro in the shop, the customer said his cursor does funny things like flying around and stuff. I booted it up, which took almost 3 minutes to get to the desktop. The mouse worked perfectly fine, so I called him and he asked after a performance upgrade, because the speed up tools he uses doesn't work for him. I made him an offer for a SSD upgrade but he just refused and said "I think my software can fix that too. Thanks anyway" and was gone. Let's see how long it takes until he comes back and wants a new Macbook.

so this one time I was hanging out with my friend who is the manager at a tech shop by where I live and a girl comes in and buys a 2tb hard drive. we let her know that we install hard drives for $1 (the cost of the sata cable we use) and she says "just because I am a woman does not mean I cant work on computers" and leaves in a huff. two days later she comes back in saying that the HDD is not working so we take the computer in to look at it, we open it and the HDD is nowhere to be seen, so we ask her where it is. and it turns out that she scanned it and put the scanned image on her desktop to install the drive. and to top that off she threw away the drive she paid almost $200 for and she wanted us to give her a new one.

EDIT: feel free to quote this comment, I like seeing peoples reactions even though the comment is 2+ years old.

Im gonna cry laughing! xD
