there is a reason my PC has a password noone knows + a Guest account and my phone has ... you guessed it .... a password noone knows 

 

ok fine ... my sister knows the passwords .... but meh ... she cant do any harm ... she has her own pc and phone and isint home most of the time

The enclosure is like 10 bucks, comes with a screwdriver and really beefy micro usb 3.0 cable. Takes a full height msata SSD, which are reasonably cheap.

 

The one in this enclosure manages 450mbyte/s read/write over usb 3.0

I got a shitty encloser for a hdd, the cable died then the hdd just go corrupt. I lost a fair bit of school work that week.

Figured out how to bypass one of my parent's silly rules of "you can't close your bedroom door ever because your computers are in there"

 

So I shutdown my desktop, password protected my laptops, and then put them outside the door...

If I was in that situation, I will yell at them about my constitutional rights to privacy or else I'll call child protection services. ?

 

If you want extra protection, you can encrypt them using VeraCrypt, Bit Locker, File Vault or one of those self-encrypting drives like the Samsung 850 Pro.
