Grabbed some new LED bulbs for my room. Rather than one 60-watt equivalent (800 lumen) bulb, I now have two 40-watt equivalent (290 lumen) of the LED filament variety. I like this setup a lot better for my own room. Can't believe the dummy that changed over our LEDs thought sticking 3 800 lumen bulbs into the fixture of my tiny room was a bright (bad pun) idea.

The flu is almost over but laying in bed has destroyed my neck and shoulder muscles. Every day is worse than the last. Sitting up and watching a movie or whatever helps, but guess who's TV repair parts won't be here until at the very earliest, monday, yet even though they said they'd arrive yesterday

 

Anyone know of any relaxing activities that don't produce any neck strain? I'd try to actually get some sleep but apparently I can't do that.

I did something dumb and just was in bed all day watching Netflix on my laptop..

 

It helps to take breaks from that by getting up occasionally to get a glass of water.

Nope. If anything, you want to underclock the GPU and overclock the dram on the card. Most of the power consumption comes from the GPU itself wasting unnecessary power. 

Ethereumis not worth mining right now btw unless you have a pretty big operation. Something smaller like monero, electroneum, sumokoin etc is far more profitable and you can actually get to a point where your paid

We get a lot of people setting off fireworks in residential areas in flagrant violation of regulations too. Halloween is a really big day for people just lighting the sky up, which I find super strange as someone not originally from this region. I'm pretty sure it's just a Vancouver thing.

 

I have a good balcony view at my place, so maybe I'll watch the show on New Years.

It gets really common around the 4th of July; Bristol and Norfolk counties (former I live in, latter is just north of me) get really loud from people illegally setting off fireworks of their own.

Yeah, here in Toronto, Ontario, it's more a dragged out summer thing.  Obviously you hear a lot more around Canada Day and Victoria day, but just on rando nights through the summer with kids in parks and such.  I can def say that 'Halloween Fireworks' are not common out here.

Same here. Random fireworks from people places cause they feel like having fireworks

Prefered the cosmos, and Charlie Chaplin. Fruity sweet is better than creamy sweet.

 

I am soo happy I went to that party. The guy who ran the party has like the best liquor collection, and just wanted to make cocktails for everyone. 

 

Also noted, I started drinking at 6.30PM, and finished at 3AM

 

Currently hanging out with a guy I met at the party. I knew him online before, but had never seen him irl. He is such a cutie.
