At $174 , and you'll need to supply your own ATX power supply, this is a 49 usb port from brando. And it's limited to a max output of just 1.5A at each port . Best of all its USB 2.0 !!! must be great for compatibility and fast *

Why is that necessary?

This can be useful in some cases. Not sure about a good example, but I bet there is a good use.

EDIT: Raspberry Pi mini super computer? Would it be less expensive? I'll find out

EDIT 2: Assuming a 5V 1A usb power adapter costs 5 bucks, 5*49 = 245. At 174$, depends on the PSU you take, if you don't have one yet.

Maybe for peripherals, but any sort of storage/communications devices that use a decent amount of bandwidth will bottleneck so fast.

<sarcastically speaking>

only 1.5A? and you need supply your own ATX power supply??  Come on!!

You should try this~~

TB1Eh7MHXXXXXXWXFXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic

You just need a power cable, and they said it can run 1.5A to 2A @ each port~~

You can find chargers with many usb ports like this in Chinese online shopping sites like TaoBao.....

</sarcastically speaking>

Personally I doubt it can run 1.5A to 2A each port, and some left comments on their stores that the output is not up to 1.5A...

so I don't think you should buy it....

ive seen these before. They made a lot of them when USB Bitcoin ASIC's were popular. being able to plug 50 of those minature ASIC sticks was a neat way of doing it

Can you use it simultaneously install windows on 48 tablets over night?  If so I can see many school IT guys drooling.
