GTX 990

Xv Ghostly vX

So I have been looking all over the internet for any 990s but i cant find them. Does anyone know where i can buy them. How much do they cost. I was planning on putting them in quad SLI because i want to be better than my annoying friend who has a 980.

The GTX 990 doesn't exist...

If you want to engage in a full-on schlong measuring contest with your buddy there, get two GTX 980s. Or for full effect, get four.

The best you can get is a GTX Titan Z. 990's don't exist.

That doesn't even make sense it definatly does

Why would they stop at 980 and not make a 990 or a 1000.

You're going full retard. Please, don't go full retard.

The card does not exist. The highest end card from NVIDIA as of now is the GTX 980. A GTX 990 would be a dual GPU card, and the GTX 1000 wouldn't be a thing even if you wanted it to be.

Well.. no one can predict the future but Dual GPU cards are frankly not that great, so perhaps Nvidia will be moving away from those.  If you're spending that much you should just get 2 of that card for better performance and much better temps.  It just isn't practical really.

Simply, if you can spend that much on one card; you can spend that much on two and have a case to accommodate em.

Isn't the highest end card from nvidia the titan z ???

Subjectively, but the Titan Z also has throttled clockspeeds and high temps. In terms of performance, maybe, but everything else about it is pretty damn crap.

Also, I was more or less talking in the realm of single-GPU cards. Dual-GPU cards seem to be becoming even less relevant now.

Oh man I'm glad I have not gone to bed yet.  I had to screenshot this beauty.

No, RPM has nothing to do with the speed of which the 980 operates.  That is measured in Megahertz or Gigahertz.  Generally they operate at around 1200 Mhz or 1.2 Ghz.

RPM is a measure of mechanical revolutions per minute, such as the fan on a card.. the fan on your a/c unit etc etc.

As for Titan, the clock speeds on that thing were around 900Mhz I believe.
