Who has the most unbalanced PC build?

asim1999

Who here has the worst PC build (in terms of balance) here? mine is pretty bad IMO. Got a 1000w PSU for a 980. got a 28 lane CPU for a quad-sli motherboard, got a 120GB SSD for X99 so there u go.

So my personal favourite worst build has to go to Melonie Mac ( PC isnt bad, but the parts she chose are atrocious when it comes to balance):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vM7FoiieMms

So if u can beat her, hats of to you my friends ;)

That's not unbalanced. 980 is high end in terms of GPU (before hitting that 1.2k+ barrier), 5820k is "low end" on the x99, cooler is excellent for the 5820k, motherboard is excellent for high end / workstations. Only unbalanced thing about your build is the RAM (or lack thereof.)

I have 6TB of RAID0, and I do nothing with it. I don't edit or record videos anymore, and my game library only takes up approximately 250GB. The rest of the drive is just... empty space.

I might be wrong.

Well it is only temporary, dont need that much ATM as DDR4 is stupidly expensive. Will be upgrading next year when i can use all of the 16 gigs.

Still, your build isn't unbalanced by any means. If you needed the RAM for modeling, or whatever, then you'd have it.

What?? Did he buy it at best Buy, or was it hand-built?

Also, this kid at my school has a 4790K and an HD 5970. WHY, JUST WHY.

well it is teaching others about the mistakes that we have made so others can learn (and for a bit of fun and laughs).

Actually, I downgraded to a 9400GT. IT's much worse.

Only temporary. Been broke for a while, but these are @PixelPips'. He's letting me borrow them until I have the money to buy a new one. Getting a 970 for my birthday or Christmas, hopefully. (Birthday in 2 weeks, Christmas obviously next month.)

It was a prebuilt, purchased direct from the manufacturer for a silly amount of money.

He just ordered a new PSU, GPU and case, but he doesn't get them until Christmas.
