Looking for a good work monitor

Go to solution Solved by Stahlmann,

Filter for the specs you mentioned before, plus IPS as your panel type and get the cheapest model that has a height adjustable stand and has a flicker free backlight. There's basically nothing else to look for if your work is mostly word-based office applications.

You really don't need more than 60Hz for word work.

The LG 32UN650-W offers all this for around $450 CAD.

LG 32UN650-W 31.5" 3840 x 2160 60 Hz Monitor (32UN650-W) - PCPartPicker

Here is a list of monitors with the specs I mentioned already filtered.

I've been working from home for the past few years and normally just use the monitors from my gaming setup for work. I've rented an office space though so I'm looking for a strictly work monitor. My wish list is:

  • 32"
  • 4k
  • Ideally more than 60 Hz

Located in BC, Canada . I'd ideally like to spend ~$600 CAD (~$430 USD) but could be convinced to spend more for the right monitor. My job is a lot of word-based work so would like something which will be as friendly to my eyes as possible.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Your budget is too small for all 3 qualities.

You can find a lot of 4K 32-inch monitors at 60Hz.

You can find a lot of 1440p 32-inch monitors at 120Hz.

All 3 would be close to ~$1000 CAD
