I honestly wasn't expecting a whole hell of a lot, but dayum it's comfy. Just gotta adjust the way I sit because with how this is designed my ｔｈｉｃｃ ｔｈｉｇｈｓ have a lot of pressure put on 'em from where the mesh "ends" at the end.

Again, not a purchase but a gift, this time a 960 4GB (supposedly a refurb unit). Hopefully it's 100%, though I'm pretty sure just about anything will work better than my 7950 at this point.

So I got a $200 Amazon gift card for Christmas.  This is what I got so far.  My system will finally have 16GB of RAM, and I honestly really like Romer-G switches after using a Logitech keyboard my roommate had.  I don't care for all the flashy lights (not that I'd have minded them), and I didn't need all the fancy features, so I got the G413 coming in.

Lol, I have no use for one because I already have an HTPC that can handle the games I’d want to play on the tv anyways.

I don't really play PC games on my TV all that much, but my HTPC doubles as the Plex server for the house (that nobody else uses). She's running pretty low on space too.

Well, there's this stuff. I have another 8GB stick of RGB 3200MHz TridentZ but it's Hynix A-die, so I'm not keen on running it in my Ryzen machine. Probably gonna just sell it or toss it in a family machine, I guess.

I have one of those at work. Couldn't believe it was only just over 100, really good chair even for a tall person. Headrest isn't perfect but can be removed.

I figured it was time to do something about my old monitors, so I just ordered ...

 

2x Acer Predator XB271HU (27" 1440p 165Hz with G-Sync). 

 

Not really a fan of the red feet and the amount of desk space that those use, but that's nothing that a couple of monitor arms and VESA mounts can't fix. 

At least these are VESA compatible, my current ones have huge feet which are non-removable because they contain the electronics. 

 

 

 

I know that my 3GB 1060 will struggle with that resolution and framerate (at least if you try to play any serious game at reasonable settings), so I figured I'd best get an MSI 1080Ti Gaming X.

 

Oh, and a larger Windows drive.  Those damn games are getting way too big nowadays.

IMO the headrest is somewhat pointless unless you recline all the way back in it. In my normal halfway-back position the very bottom part of my head is all that really touches it.

kinda too short for me and it lowers on its own if I put pressure on it. Haven't removed mine but a coworker did with his. Otherwise really comfortable and breathable. In the recent cold I've been pointing a heater at my back through the mesh, pretty awesome.

I got me a GT 1030 for my main rig as my old 730 died. I also got a new laptop, The HP X360 With the Raven Ridge APU. The R5 2500u is a powerhouse and I love it

Unnecessary, I have been defending the best value chip in Coffee Lake is the i7 8700 instead of the 8600k and 8700k for quite a while already for plenty of reasons:

 

*Extremely cheaper specially with inflated prices of the i7 8700k, you can cheap up on motherboard since any will do for the locked chip no need to worry with power phases or VRMs and so on, the z370 chipset still makes sense for the memory overclocking nonetheless... also the considerable cheap 212X makes up for efficient cooling with practically no noise... a cool 65ishCº without delidding ^^

 

*Outperforms the i5 8600k at 5ghz regardless thanks to Hyper-Threading weighting down more which is excellent, the optimization for at least quadcore usage on software nowadays is lovely, and as mention it will cost you cheaper even though the i7 costs more you are hassle free, cheaper other components no delid, I have taken this as true since Skylake when on similar situation I went i7 6700 + h110m over i5 6600k + z170 and the extra threads paid off in time.

 

*For the little content creation I do the chip is more than capable and mainly gaming on either 2560x1080p100hz or 4k60hz  which more GPU bond either ways as we know having the i7 8700 at 4.3ghz all core turbo or at 5ghz makes little to no difference at all:

Heheh trust me I put lots into consideration and thought on this pairing, it was very much cheaper and I have basically the same performance within margins of error per say ^^
