Sweet mother of locked 30 FPS!

I managed to look up the reason.

All versions are locked to 30FPS because the game engine is tied to the frames.  If you see the post by the user iRumy3, seems some individuals managed to mod the game to run at 60fps, but running at those frames breaks the game logic, hit detection, and other game mechanics.  Pretty much an old technique used back on the PS2 and older consoles (like on some of the Secret games back on the SNES).

Anyway, I got it for my PS4 Pro.  I'm just super happy they where willing to bring this PS2 classic onto the PS4 with a physical disc considering on the PS3 State side only a digital download was offered.

Just picked it up.  But darn it, I am still working through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (up to 40 hours on that game).

IMG_20171212_175742822.thumb.jpg.7f45869bd0bfe54c60e2ffc51bf58808.jpg

About Xenoblade...this scene had me laughing my arse off  :P.  If you don't know why they reacting like that, look up Poppi.  Someone probably streamed it.

Now, if Sony and Level 3 be willing to remaster Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (I am still holding onto my PS2 disc of that game).  Along with Rogue Galaxy (<-- this one BIG TIME!!!).  O boy, I could keep spitting out a good bit of PS2 games that I would love to see remaster or at least quality done upscaling to work on these newer TVs.  That system had ton of good RPGs and JRPGs on it.

Where di you buy it from?

A friend my parents know of who sell office furniture.

Told them I wanted an L-shaped desk and chose the size and color I wanted. Told me it might take 7-10 business days but ended up taking less.

Upgrading my 6 year old processor....  with a different 6 year old processor :D Considered upgrading my whole system (CPU + MoBo + Ram) to something like a 1600, but with current ram prices, that would've been >500 bucks, so I got this instead :P Already got decent cooling, so I'll run it with a slight overclock, so the difference of twice the thread + ~1GHz on all cores (compared to the 2500) should be noticeable. Also consider to upgrade the GPU somewhere along the line (1070 / Ti / 1080 or whatever the 11XX lineup will bring) - since I'm at 1440p, I don't expect the bottleneck to be as big of an issue. But we'll see..

Edit: just realized how small that pic is... xD  it's a 2600k :D

It's Square-Enix and Tri Ace you should be looking to for any further remastering work relating to the star ocean series (and to be honest, I would want the first three games to be remade for current systems and the PC along with the fifth game getting a PC release).

Yeah, I got mixed up.  Tri Ace did Star Ocean and Level 3 did Rogue Galaxy.  I never played the first three, but I played the crap out of Till the End of Time since I enjoyed the battle system in that game (plus, those secret bosses are some serious buggers to beat).

Is it the recent reissue? If so, how is it?

It is the newest release, and it's great. I do believe it's the original mastering too, just on 180g vinyl.

And agreed, after picking up Hirax's debut and then their second album, I found the second to be a let down. But their newer stuff after reforming seems to all be great stuff.

Nice. I'll need to get that that reissue then.

I guess I did buy these but I haven't received them yet:

I have an odd rule when it comes to vinyl. Certain bands, though Priest isn't one of them, I don't buy more than four records, bands seem to gradually go down hill after four, with exceptions of course. Priest, I'll buy everything up to Painkiller.
