Had my SFF it's in folding with the fan running full tilt and i needed to move it, and my side panel warped and the fan grille caught and broke a blade. Had to break the opposite one to balance so I could continue using it until I got the replacement. 

 

Also printed a new panel that should prevent this from happening again in the future....

Upgrading from my old GTX 970s. Thought about getting a 2080 TI, but an extra $400 didn't seem worth it.

It has definitely provided some new life to my aging i5-3570k build. I'm likely going to upgrade to a Ryzen 3900XT though soon enough.

For that CPU, Mobo and RAM upgrade I would wait till the new Stuff comes out. Even if you're not gonna jump on Zen 3 prices for the existing stuff will still come down significantly.

I thought that it was about time that I had some kind of capture hardware until I figure out which of the systems I have will become my dedicated capture PC and I get an internal solution (the splitter will hopefully allow me to capture from my PS3).

This Ukranian watchmaker's special kind-of-vintage Raketa Copernic.

The movement and hands are from a 80s Raketa Copernic, but the dial and case are new.

Either way it's beautiful and I had to have it.

 

I've noticed there's no watch thread, maybe I'll make one. My watch collection grew a lot during covid.

Yep, a Pentax K-S2, with the 18-55mm kit lens, with a macro conversion lens.

A lot of my photos have been taken on a canon xti (yep still using a 14 year old camera body)

with a 18-55mm or a 50mm1.8

Yeah, with a DSLR, you can do a lot with older equipment.

I think my oldest lens is a Centon 70-210 from the 70s/80s, which is one of the early lenses on the current Pentax mount.

Yeah, I have a few casios in my collection too. Two G-Shocks (one of which I got when I was in highschool), an F91-W, and a £10 analog faux-diver.

There's a lot of snobbery in the watch community, but I think every watch deserves to be a star in a collection as long as the owner can find joy in it's ownership.

I currently have two casios my daily driver and one that I inharted from my great grandfather that passed away last year

I also own a garmin forerunner 225 ( I havent worn this since covid happend)

I own a old pocket watch too

Yeah, I think what's most important is that you like it.

My favourite brand is Vostok (which is Russian, and Vostok not Vostok Europe), and they tend to get looked down upon for being Russian and having a slightly toy-ish appearance.

But I can list quite a few reasons why I'd take a Vostok over anything Japanese or Swiss.

 

Anyway, I'll probably start that thread tomorrow, after I take a few pics of my favourite pieces.

Do it! I've eased off on my collecting in the last few years and sold quite a few of the ones I did have. But still got a few core watches that I don't think I'll ever sell like my Titanium Seamaster Chrono Diver (aka the "Chuck Maddox" watch).

 

 

I have a thing for diving and pilot's watches from the 90s thanks to my dad, as he started collecting around '95-96.

 

Got my eye out for a Zenith El Primero Rainbow Flyback and have had for a number of years, but they're rare as hell and even absolute dogs cost a small fortune.

Raketa is Russian for "rocket". That oval thing (which I assume to be the hour counter) looks quite interesting.

I know Raketa is Russian, but this watch was refinished by a Ukranian guy. That's why it's vastly different from a normal 80s Copernic.
