It was a godsend for al lot of people.  My Dad had a 1/2 110 camera.  Looked like a squared off flying saucer.  Horrible resolution. When digital hit it was too slow for me though.  Came in about the same time as autofocus or just after. I liked candid portraiture at the time which lived in fraction seconds of just the right behavior by the subject.  Didn’t have time for autofocus or digita cameras to get their house in order and actually take a photo.  The opportunity would be gone and you’d have a picture of someone’s ear or something.   I waited for digital to get itself together but lost interest and ability in the interim.  Digital may be good enough to do that with but I’m not anymore.

Low light shot of my purple G102/G203, it's far from great, considering I shot this handheld with the kit lens which can only go to F3.5 as the lowest aperture, rest of the settings are ISO800, 1/25 at 18mm (or roughly 28mm or so considering it's an APSC sensor).

nah f3.5 going down looks great.

Not a personal fan of the bulb shot, but I like the other two quite a lot. The third could be improved by getting the full…whatever that is, in frame.

What I love about this picture that it's not oversaturated. The colors are there but not aggressive. They compose great with the crows. The blurry front crow looking in the other direction is a nice touch.

 

I'm usally a portrait photographer but currently not in a good mood and decided to photograph my city and get some shots in b/w.

I can’t even see any crows.  This pic for me seems to be about how the parking lot is a temporary grassed area and how it’s a beautiful day and how a lot of people parking there drive pickups. Colors are also good. Can’t find any crows for the life of me though.
