Your Personal Watch Dogs in-game Performance?

SrN95

Just spent the last hour playing watch dogs, and it is pretty fun so far, however...driving in this game is awful, i'm dropping frames constantly on my 780, other than the driving, it seems to be stutter free.

What is your experience with it so far? (for those currently playing)  ^_^

True that, the physics seem pretty off, the cars slide all over the road like you have the e-brake on constantly even with the slightest turn...Of course the lag probably doesn't help

Haaaaaaaa. i7, 16gb of ram, on a 7970 which is basically a 280x, I've been getting fps drops in the teens on ultra. WD isn't too friendly with AMD atm.

Is the performance really that bad even with a high end system? i have an oc'd SB i5,16gb ram and oc'd gtx 560 ti. If so, I might just bring back out my old xbox and play on it instead.

Everyone using nVidia cards, you are on the latest drivers, right? In the last 24 hours they released WHQL337.28 which includes watch_dogs optimisations. Just open GeForce Experience and go to the drivers tab, then check for updates.

For me it's terrible. I have the latest nvidia drivers with my 770 and i can't get a stable frame.Completely disabled anti-aliasing and textures on high instead of maximum and again, frame drops all over the place. -_-

Driving in a car is impossible.

EDIT*

I also think that the game sucks. Unpopular opinion? maybe..

EDIT2*

I forgot that i currently have 4 gigs of ram. I guess that's the main problem for me

Driving stuttering is a common problem currently in Watch Dogs.

Go find the game's properties file and add this line "-disablepagefilecheck" it will most likely fix the stuttering when driving.

DONT. The last-gen consoles look atrocious. Get the new Nvidia drivers, and you should be good.

The game IS SO BAD. It runs at below 30fps on my gtx 760 on high and I can't even drive in that game it feels soooooo bad. All cars feel so heavy and yet have 2000kW of power. You can ram with a bike in that game.

nVidia has released some new drivers for Watch Dogs. They are supposed to fix the performance issues within the game. I haven't personally tried it yet, because I was waiting for a proper release of the game. Anyway, I do expect some nice FPS on my machine. Specs in signature.

I get 30-50Fps with everything on Ultra and textures on high.
The only problem I have is that the game has massive frame drops while driving which really needs a fix.
Those happen even on low settings.

Around 40-50 FPS on high.(but only FXAA)

I've got a 560...I'm impressed.

Also,my CPU usage is at 30%.

The game has massive frame drops while driving though.

Well just like everyone else I have to say that driving in this game sucks and it is so unrealistic...just awful. Even if there was no frame drops while driving it would still be awful. I expected this game to be a lot better. I'm sorry to say that i am very disappointed with it.

Guys, guys... have you tried overclocking your hard drives to accommodate the large file size?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

But seeing these posts is putting me off getting WD  Don't know how my PC is supposed to handle it if rigs on crossfire/SLI can't.

Xeon 1230v2 (i7 3770). Been there done that. The game runs fine at 30+ but it sometimes dips. And it does not look that much better than bf4 on high and that runs at 100+ fps.

It doesn't matter though I'm not playing that game. Open world and driving sucks ass.

Performance isn't too bad. Mouse acceleration and that is my main concern at the moment.
