Interesting, adding 200Mhz to the max clock on the 4090 seems stable and its gained more PPD than the GTX 1650.

guide on how to make an Inno 3D RTX 3090 fit in an EK Vector waterblok:

first you find out that the Inno 3D reference card is not actually reference:

anyone else having insanely slow WU download speeds?

my main PC has been downloading for 10 minutes and its only on 48%

nevermind it's a steam download that's eating up all my bandwith. 🥲

What's that work out to for clock speed? I'm holding 2995 with plus 150 , voltage @1100mv and power limit turned up 10 percent. I haven't tried pushing it higher most of the YouTube videos I've seen seem to lose stability above 3ghz too so it's have to wait till after the folding is done. Roughly 57c fans on stock

At the moment its showing 2880-2895 at 77-79C, but I couldn't find anywhere to put the thermal probe that the bottom fan follows so its probably not getting ideal intake.  Plus the FE is known to run a bit toasty as it avoids pushing the card fans into "omg that noise" levels.

Manually pushing the fans up only drops to 70-76C so I think it definitely needs the intake fan tweaking.

Mine is in a pretty cool environment in a giant case with lots of fans blowing through but it's also the Zotac Trinity oc. Seems pretty quiet to me my ups is louder. It's not silent though for sure.

The NVIDIA fans are beastly above about 50%, not likely an issue under a normal load though.

That's interesting as I didn't think the Trinity OC would allow that much clearance on the power connector, its one of the reasons I didn't cave and get one and waited on the FE instead.

The FE being MSRP was a good thing though, plus I like how it partially vents out of the case directly.  Its still increased the idle CPU temp by about 10C though, the trouble with air cooling.

This wasn't really good planning it was the only one available for the MSRP I suspect because Zotac. My case is huge too it's really wide.

Looks about the same width as my BeQuiet DX500.

I really need to lower my front fan, its a bit too high up now with the increased height of the 4090.

I also wonder if I had been better off with 3x120mm fans rather than 2x140mm.

That's just the way this thing came I didn't really move a thing.

I suppose when I say really wide I mean in comparison to the old thermaltake case with the 4080. It's an abomination and impossible to really close now.

nope at least in the USA warranty void sitickers are Invalid all they can use it for is to detect if you opened it.  unless you caused damage to the card like knocking a SMD or chip off when removing the heat sink you are legally allowed to remove the heatsink and reapply it...but since you cut it yeah, no warranty for you i dont think...  I remember years ago I had a XFX Vcard that the fan failed on me, I told them I am a computer tech, and all i need is the fan, i can remove it from the HS and install the new one...they sent the whole heat sink assy along with a new warranty void sticker to replace the one i would destroy removing the current heatsink assy. needless to say i just swapped the fan any way...kept the stiker for a rainy day...ended up using it after i had to repaste my RX580 as it was overheating...now was a diffrent style xfx sticker but the warranty is still valid right???? lol 🤣
