I suppose when I say really wide I mean in comparison to the old thermaltake case with the 4080. It's an abomination and impossible to really close now.

That's what I expected it to look like when I saw the measurements of that card.

Yeah it's no good for a traditional case that you could fit a giant noctua in or anything. You need the herniation inducing wider ones or vertical mount I suppose. Liquid ones are neater too.

get a Fractal Design Meshify S2 lol it should fit in there with room to spare i think...(it has enough room for a 2 slot verticle card next to the regular slots...

If we get a 4090 Ti I'm expecting it to be 6 slots.

The first card I bought with my own money was a 16mb Voodoo Banshee I think in 98 or 99. It was alot of grass cutting jobs. It was a pretty scant looking thing with a green heatsink. I think it was a matrox... Barely 1 slot, no extra power and played NFS like the devil.

no  the 4090TI will be a 4.5-5 slot card the 5090 will be 6 slots the 5090TI will be 7-8 slots and the 6090TI 8-9 and will require this case like this

I don`t think so, the 6090 won`t fit in any case, comes with its own (which you can place next to your house) and also comes with its own nuclear power supply. At least in return it will also be abled to power the rest of the computer.

lol i was thinking that was the 7090 but maybee they will evolve faster than i expected...

You may be thinking of the upcoming 7990XTX from AMD quad chiplet GPUs on one card. Requires Lisa Su to manage your thermals with liquid nitrogen while you game.

naa AMD will stay in the shared Computer case till they are back at the 5900 series again next decade... and keep their dimensions 75% under control...Vs Nvidias 1-1.5 slot gain per generation

The 6969XTX has potential, though I also heard it's going to be hard to come by.

This 4090 is impressive. 18m ppd while playing construction simulator on high preset and streaming it on Discord with a YT video playing in the background.

Crikey, EOC is running slow today - 35 mins past update and still processing.

 

I also noticed for a while now it often misses lots of WUs that end up getting included in the next run, making the hourly production stats worthless.

I noticed this a few times too. I've got a couple reports at 5 WU and a few at 21 or something kind of impossible for the performance.

Yeah I don't think the last EOC update worked

 

The 4090 only takes 42-45 minutes per WU so umm yeah, that's not right.

 

I'm sure they are aware there is an issue, but I dropped them a message to let them know just in case.  Its rather worrying its getting slower and slower as it could be a problem with their server.
