Why Zen 3 isn't so impressive considering price ??

Hey people what are your thoughts on ZEN 3 pricing ? As a r5 3600 user, zen 3 is too expensive imo... In my country r5 5600x cost 340eur in shop and was sold instantly, fun fact it's only 20eur cheaper than i7 10700k , and i5 10600k goes for 260eur.

From gamers nexus past reviews highly overclocked i5 10600k could beat i9 10900k in gaming, and from many other reviews zen 3 isn't faster like a lot and it's mostly on par with intel. Okey intel eats more electricity and there is no upgrade path apart from 10900k.But still I think 5600x price is too high, and 5800x shouldn't exist at all. What do you think ?

Well if the prices for all parts would be the regular launch prices then amd would be the clear one in favor but it really totally depends on how pricing is near you. For example here a 10600k or 5600x are identical in price so of course you choose the 5600x.

What are you comparing here? An overclocked 10600k to a non-overclocked 5600x? I absolutely think Zen 3 is worth the money. The pricing is not at all surprising IMO, but maybe not what one could hope for. Supply and demand. 🤷‍♂️

well, it's supposed to be 300, not 340, and you can overclock it as well. if you compare an overclocked 5600x with an overclocked 10700k and see that for 20 euros less you get more performance, it starts making sense.

R U KIDDING ME, the 5600x beats the 10900k in most games, let alone the 5900x

i wish it would be identical, but 10600k is 260eur new and 5600x is 340eur and that price will be there for a while

yeah, that 10600k is a bit low on price, and that 5600x is way over priced, hey should cost 309euros.

but the 5600x demoslishes the 10600k, and you can use the oc on a cheaper motherboard, so its much better.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

340eur for 5600x is a lot... my 3600 at first week after zen 2 release cost me 210eur, and this price is okey because it's europe. I was expecting like 250eur at most, for 5600 Non X model, but there is no such CPU... atleast at this moment.. also no 5700x I wish to see it for 380eur, it would be slightly more expensive than i7 10700k but a lot faster, meanwhile 5800x shouldn't exist at all, it goes for 500eur now... Only r9 5900x didn't increase in price but also was sold out instantly

The pricing seems to be in line.

I think most things are over priced, but I must be wrong. Just look at how much money was donated to us presidential campaigns during this "pandemic". Lol

Note, you are comparing a "x" part vs a non-"x" part, and complaining about the price difference. Wait for the 5600 to make the comparison. Yes it will likely be a little more expensive, but not the jump you are complaining about.

wtf do you mean? you would prefer to spend $350 on a z490 motherboard, and another $450 on cpu, when you could spend $450 on a better performing cpu and $150 on a motherboard...

i honestly dont know why youre complaining, its cheaper than the 10900k, it performs better than the 10900k and the motherboards are so much cheaper
