some of your food patterns can be genetic. like the use of dairy, were other groups of people will become more sick from eating lesser amount.

so depends on culture, location and what foods. Some food just have good umami, but sure, can be many reasons as to why they might dislike it or by reactions they get from it.

Right. Like, cream cheese is vegetarian, but not vegan. Cheeses with rennet isn't really vegetarian and definitely not vegan.

And yea, any vegan "cheese" is fake cheese, but there is some that tastes extremely good. I actually really enjoy trying new vegan cheeses since the tastes vary so much. Violife cream cheese genuinely tastes better than real cream cheese on bagels.

It sort of depends on what is being defined as what.  There are milk vegetarians, there are eggs and milk vegetarians, there are eggs milk and fish vegetarians, there are fruitarians too, which can include milk depending on how you describe it.  It gets quite complex.  Vegan is more strictly defined.  there are even things fruitarians won’t eat that vegans will. It’s a big snarl. Renet iirc is cow gastric juices from one particular stomach or something. Cows have complex innards. It’s commonly harvested by emptying the stomach from a slaughtered cow though so it gets a bit complicated.  Gelatin can also have issues because it can be and used to be (but these days almost never is) made from hooves.  There is a cheaper way to do it from some plant or other though so that is much more common.  That it has a history of being a meat product can be enough to make some vegetarians avoid it though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

most food chains will have 2 groups, either vegan or vegetarian. if otherwise, such should be stated. (except various religious food restricitons).

that dairy and eggs, just not meat, and sometimes fish to be accepted for vegetarians, bugs etc would maybe go into another field of food (which ofc should be stated). while vegans, no animal products.

Also some are not that strict with it either, so always ask and remember to tell. Else you will fall into either of these.

Sadly some mixes diet with allergies, so when not called out... and if its extreme... there might be traces of such in the food, all depending on how the food is handled. Some cooks depending on where or which country, will do meat and vegan dishes in the same pan for example.

yea, there are different types of vegetarian, but the most common type is "does this food contain, or was processed with, dead animals? no? Its fine to eat". Another common vegetarian type are ones that include fish in their diet. I hated fish even before I was vegetarian though. Its only vegans that don't consume any eggs or milk.

Oh, and there are ethical vegans/vegetarians, who will eat meat if the animal wasn't killed for the purpose of food, like eating roadkill.

There’s also religious stuff.  Pescatarians (vegetarians who will eat fish) mixes fairly well with some versions of kosher, for example, I’m not too familiar with the Islamic specifics (might be called halal? I don’t know). It’s often more than just no pork though.  People eat what they eat for whatever reason, be it ethical, cultural, religious, medical, etc..

7th day adventists are pescatarians. Kosher has varying levels of adherence. Some people/families almost have two separate kitchens.

I don’t recall if it includes the old Egyptian stuff or not.  I get the impression that was intended for medical reasons and was as statistical thing.  “Thou shalt eat no owl” is probably just good sense.  Owls eat some scary stuff.

Pretty close. if the stuff ever touches each othe a rabbi has to be called in and special high heat treatment has to be used or the utensils destroyed. It’s quite complex.  An olde Tyme “kosher kitchen” is arguably two kitchens in one room, more or less.

I used to think that till I tried dried Chinese sausages.  There’s a reason the Chinese don’t bother with bacon. Peculiarity of how they work means they basically have to be cooked with rice though. Never made it to the west much because they’re too much of a PITA to cook unless you’re making rice.  The ones I buy come from Canada. Chinese guy up there started making them a long time ago.

When people use router and modem interchangeably. They are two separate devices that have two separate functions. If you have an all in one device is called an internet gateway.

just hate a lot of PC cases, where they just need 1 cm of depht to make the back panel issue as not a problem as there is often not made enough space for the cables for a good fit.

Front panel ports, when just connected to an USB on the motherboard. that is nice. but when it's not, or got for example the USB-C on motherboards vs on the case... want to change or add. so if all cases had a replaceable front hub. or found a way to make this easier.

Also why are some dust filters on some cases not able to pull out? when having a filter, always be able to change or remove it!

RGB should have been solved long ago, but everyone wants to profit from it.

Almost every ISP calls the all-in-one device a router. Unfortunately, though it's technically incorrect, it's become common enough parlance that I don't think anything can really be done to change it now.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

Kind of like how everyone and their brother keeps calling 1440p "2k" even though it is 100% MOST DEFINITELY NOT 2K BY DEFINITION.

We sort of do:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_resolution  It's  2048 × 1080 according to Digital Cinema Initiative or colloquially any resolution that is around 2k pixels horizontally. I'd say 560 pixels away from 2000 is too far, so 1440p =/= 2k. 1920 is close enough so "2k".

but then why are we calling 3840 x 2160, 4K?

other than what is stated on the wiki

"That's roughly four times larger than a 1080p picture,"

as in 8,2k

its 4x HD not FHD and because thats UHD not DCI 4k

It's approximately 4000 pixels wide, so 4k. This discrepancy get's larger and larger though. "8k" is only 7680 and at "16k" you're already a 1000 pixels off. 1440p is Quad-HD because it can fit 4 720p screens, so 4k could be QFHD, but they ended up with UHD. This is why I find it clearer to just write out the resolution one means.
