I'm genuinely surprised that I am the only person on this forum that uses dark mode.

Several people may use dark mode, but I've not seen any complaints so far.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Yeah their Towers and Notebooks are great actually, it's just Printers in general that are highly unreliable and seem to break at the worst moments.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

My complaint with HP lies in their "DRM" for everything in their printers/plotters. Constant warnings that ink tanks have expired, refusal to accept 3rd party ink tanks, difficulty replacing a bad print head unless every ink tank and other print head is good and OE, and etc. They last quite a long time, but for anything but a plotter I will buy Canon, they're just simply easier to deal with and you can buy 3rd party ink all day for them and they almost never have issues with it.

If you bought it from a bestbuy then why not get the warranty done by them?

I don't understand the purpose of threads like this.

Find me a single large company without some people saying you should avoid them because of poor customer support or low quality products. They're all as bad as each other.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

I've fixed the font colour so it will display properly on all themes. Let's get back on topic.

Hi @Mad153, I just tried the page with Firefox and Edge and it "seems" to load properly for me, Can you take a screen shot so I can see what your seeing?

The parts that you copied from the HP support chat were using a grey font colour which is hard to read for users of the Night Theme which has a grey background.

You can change themes at the bottom of the page by clicking on Theme and selecting a theme.

I've got a DL 385 G6 I'm still using. Runs fine and has for a long time. The only issue I have with HP is when they locked down being able to download drivers and updates like the Proliant Service Pack CD. I've also got a modded N54L microserver going strong and one of their TFT7600 consoles.

HP Products aren't all bad but clearly your customer service experience is less than ideal. Have you raised this with consumer affairs in your state or territory? here in Australia if they were causing me this much grief I would hit up the government body as I have done in the past with other organisations and I get results much much quicker.

I can see what you what your issue is, You are using HP's lowest tier of printer product and expecting it to work like its not.

I use and have always used their 400 series printers and never once had an issue due to its design (my own user stupidity maybe).

The worst brand I have ever used or seen is Brother. Utter garbage.

I mean, EVGA?  But yeah, basically any brand (and especially printer brands) will have their fair share of awful customer interactions
