When I saw this on Saturday, I didn't reply because I thought everyone would realize what it was and ignore it. Instead it has over 200 replies.

 

I'll just say, why don't the rest of you look at the number of replies the OP has made.

And I've had 1 blue screen one my desktop PCs at home since I had Vista on it, which used to blue screen on shutdown and I couldn't be bothered reinstalling the OS and have run 7,8, 8.1 and 10 since then. The blue screen I did have was some new RAM that I bought that had errors out of the box. My work PC has had some bluescreens on 7 & 10, but that is because it is an old ass piece of junk HP SFF piece of crap that should have been replaced at least 4 years ago.

yes, but you are talking in favor of windows so you must be wrong.  Only windows can have problems and only mac is better than viagra.

Not going to reply to someone in particular since this seems to be a constant "gotcha" point that I've seen brought up since the last 2 pages ;

 

Your 1 personal experience isn't an indicator of good/bad, I've had good and bad experience with Windows, bad ones that were even extremely frustrating. But I also had the same with MacOS and Linux ... no, I don't own a Mac, but I support a company with 3 users that have macbook, so NO, they're not perfect, if they were, I wouldn't have had ticket about them. But that doesn't mean they're shit.

 

Same with Windows or Linux. I have a friend that hates Linux. Why? Because 10 years ago he tried installing Ubuntu on a laptop but the audio and wifi would not work. So, he went back to Windows 7 and declared Linux is shit.

 

So if your argument is that Windows is shit because YOU experienced issues and can find other with issues through a Google search, then by definition, that statement stands for any other OS, MacOS included.

maybe overheating MacBooks that have a fan for no reason except noise.

 

as mentioned above 52v power cables passing by cpu power cables so if they are in a humid room and corrode they short and fry the cpu.

 

$1000 i3 laptops that don’t boost due to insufficient cooling. 
 

$10,000 Base model Mac Pro that can’t compete with a $3,000 
 

$700 CASTERS, with brakes so your Mac Pro  can’t try and end it’s miserable life.

I have no reason to use Apple.

I won a first gen 1GB iPOD Nano and tried to swap it for a surround sound from a friend.

 

I had the first generation iPOD touch which was stolen from my locker in the Armed Forces.

 

From that i learned they are not worth it. Attractive toy and not much else.

I have no particular reason to, but I switched over to iPhone this time and do enjoy my phone, watch, and AirPods pro.

 

i haven’t had a taste of flagship android so I can’t speak for that. And this phone may suck to, I switched from a $30 android phone so I don’t really have a good base idea of a good phone.

The hardware iPhone has actually kicks ass. All honesty. Top cameras for sure. All day very appealing features. 

It lacks the freedom of a file system that I can access as it where a PC I suppose. I don't know how they have everything now,,, but music through i-tunes was so horrible. I have a 4 and 5 in the drawers. At the time, 6" sub 200$ Android did just fine. Still on that same kick.

 

It's a "phone". I miss pay phones. Rotary phones. I miss not needing an area code when I dialed out. 7 digits man lol.

Ah yes, the "a lot of people have got issues they just don't know it" gambit.

 

You can apply that argument to everything.  Mac always has problem, people are just too blind to realize they have them.  Or how about: "Linux is loaded with issue, people just aren;t aware of them"

I wasn’t saying Mac and Linux doesn’t have issues, I have had issues with Linux to, I was just replying to you talking about many users not having issues.

The whole reason my post exists is because someone tried to argue that windows has more issues than mac,  without some hard data to support that it is a flawed statement. In fact it is a statement that can be made about any OS without hard data.  But that also makes it an assumption.

Any logical person won't name a better one because the concept that there is a best one for everyone is flawed.

 

You can't definitively claim any one tablet is better than all the rest because not everyone has the same needs, budget, personal desires, etc etc.

That's a cop out.

 

It's like saying a 2080ti RTX is not as good as a 1650 GTX because a 1650 can fit in more computer cases and uses less power.

 

It's a silly argument.  A 2080TI is better than a 1650 - period.  If you are in the tiny niche group which needs a 1650, you got it because your circumstances forced you - not because you wanted it.

 

None of this stupid "But there is a small tiny niche market where this item is better."
