Build a mansion kitted out with a ton of tech and a 10 car garage of supercars (throw in a Lamborghini Urus for the practical car) then spend the rest of  my days travelling the world helping people in the best ways I can (I wouldn't just donate to a charity because I like to see exactly where its going and what it'll be used for)

Trucks aren't the greatest winter vehicles. They're comparatively front heavy if you don't keep stuff in the bed, ideally over the axel. I don't drive my Dakota much when it snows for that reason.

Now that I think about it, I’d get a mint ass 1995 Impala SS or a really nice low mile Crown Victoria LX Sport as a daily and have a barrage of forgotten shitboxes, like the Toyota Corolla wagon, the Isuzu I-Mark and the Daewoo Leganza.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

To over the top for me, a simple Lariat F150 would do me just fine.

Increased initial cost, running cost, and maintenance cost for a vehicle that is more awkward to drive.

Kinda depends on your areas winter and the truck.

I have a 96 dodge 2500. V10, 35" tires.  4x4. I could get it stuck if its really bad and im being dumb.

My driveway is steep and not fully paved. My wifes awd subaru can sometimes make it but usually needs a good head start and more speed which introduces more risks.

With the truck i just put it in 4 low and creep on up.

What sucks is spending $3 to go 10 miles though lol.

Not really. It's dependent on weight and power distribution. Cars have their weight distributed better, and unless they're using the same/similar engines to truck counterparts with the same tunes (Pentastar V6, Hemi V8, etc.), they're going to be less prone to delivering too much power relative to weight above axels.

Trucks, being predominantly front heavy, don't have the weight over the rear axel for the tires to get adequate grip to accelerate at a decent rate and control it, and the weight of the engine will have a tendency of wanting to drag the vehicle forward, while the inadequate weight distribution behind the front axel won't work to dig the tires into the ground.

Keeping weight in the bed fixes this issue, extent depending on vehicle.

Whereas most modern cars more if their mass behind the front axel and less in front of it.

with 50 million usd, a small chopper wouldn't be a crazy idea, especially in the countryside quick travelling instead of long boring road trips

Yes i agree...which would mean it depends on the truck and the winter conditions in your area.

It's a constant amongst every truck lucky enough to have more than a N/A 4 banger of the 80's.

Any truck with reasonable power will spin the rear tires much more easily than vehicles with better weight distribution. On both trucks I've had (F150 and especially my ranger), the bed (main source of weight over the rear wheels is that, an axle/diff and suspension) is basically weightless compared to the overall weight of the truck. It's the same for my brother's F250 and I'd assume basically all other trucks because they're all the same shape lmao. They spin the rear tires easily, if you have a 4x4 and 4WD isn't working, your truck will be worse than just a normal RWD or especially FWD car. A 4x4 setup adds extra weight on the front end, making it even more front heavy. And a truck with only 2WD doesn't even have the option to power the front wheels. Trucks have an advantage in ground clearance and bigger tires over cars, that's about it for snow driving.

I edited it because I remembered that Ford released their new Ram 1500 mini Ranger, which has a turbo i4.

But the old 4 banger trucks didn't have much all that much power (they also didn't really need it as they were lighter, for economic reasons, and the tow/haul arms race hasn't reached that point yet), so their engines didn't put as much weight in front of the front axel. The issues with weight distribution are still there, but they're less pronounced.

And instead, old trucks like the Hilux were less than ideal wheelbases for their ground clearance and overall weight. They had tendencies to either spinout and/or tip over.

i know nothing about trucks except that they have are good at offroading have 4wd/awd and use big engines and have offroad wheels and big suspension

I'd buy a house in a nice part of town, a Model 3 (Long Range, not Performance) for when I need to drive, upgrade my Macs, plan a nice vacation for me and my sweetheart... and pour what's left into a reasonably stable investment portfolio.  I'd keep working, but with that kind of investment money coming in I would avoid overtime and take time off whenever possible.  Ideally, I'd stop working once the investment returns were big enough that I could live on them while fulfilling my dreams.

What’s wrong with wanting to live away from big cities?

Big cities suck donkey ass (or ass ass I suppose). No way in hell I'd wanna live in a big city, sure there's some cool things they can offer but like daily life? I think the fuck not.

I'd wanna be about an hour to an hour and a half from a big city.

I've lived in and around suburbs so maybe that shapes a lot of my views on big cities but yeah.
The issue with big cities is owning property like real estate is a lot harder because it's a lot more expensive and less available.

I think to add to that assortment of random ass cars, probably in there would be some kinda EV but not a Tesla. Probably a Bolt lol

Some are forced to live in the city. A normal ambulance is "a little" cheaper than a helicopter ambulance. In the city, the response time of the ambulance is shorter than in the rural area. Time will determine whether an ambulance or a hearse.
