The Craziest computer hardware you can think of

GramKracker00

how about a new CPU design that would allow custom DDR4 memory dimms right on the CPU itself for high speed cache?

or maybe something like a "blank graphics card": just a large video card PCB with sockets for as many GPU/APU chips as you want (limited by PCB size)... cooling will be hard to figure out....

how about an 'upside-down' build design?... The case is the CPU+GPU cooler!, It's just a giant fin and heat pipe array. The CPU+Mobo and the video card connect into a large flat layout. Thermal paste and flip the whole computer upside-down onto the cooler/case.

Seems confusing about the upside down build.

Look at my signature; it's not even possible for something that outrageous to run. In all seriousness, only Slick's Oil Cooled PC™ comes to mind as a crazy PC since compared to any other crazy, but limitless PC that exists, Slicks's PC just seems way too limited once built. All that time waiting for it dry if you plan on upgrading and the thought of actually building one just seems crazy and amazing. Welp, better come up with an insane PC build to beat Slick's résumé.

A spaceship made of computronium. I think Charles Stross invented the idea. I suspect he saw crypto-currency coming some years ago.

EDIT: I think wrong... Computronium... That has to be the craziest possible until everyone's front doors are made of the stuff, then it's normal.

Why would it?

I know it isn't real but if such a card was real then what is the point it taking up that many PCI-e brackets?
