I've seen a man cook hotdogs in foil between two GPUs in crossfire, so it's a fact that GPUs running folding loads can be useful for other stuff like baking as well, depending on the model.

Hey if you wanna do some cooking just grab yourself a couple Vega 64s, mod the LC bios into them and crank the power slider ALL THE WAY up.

Question: has anyone here ever had a debit card, a credit card or even a gift card in a leather wallet for extended periods of time and used it often? No? Then lemme tell ya, they wear out. Quickly. This isn’t exclusive to the Apple Card at all. It happens to basically any card that comes in and out of a wallet. My shitty work card is already worn to fuck and it’s 8 months old.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

No no, Apple will offer a $599 titanium card holder that also cant go in pockets or wallets, you keep the card holder magnetically attached to the back of your iphone for ease of access of course.

Apple magnets are magic and work on all metals btw

Still one of the top 10 biggest lmao moments in Apple's history (others would be stuff like the banana-controller pippin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Bandai_Pippin). Also really funny that it was the user's fault for holding it wrong, yet they added another antennae line and moved the top corner one to the side and the problem went away (sadly I haven't even used my 4s or 4Ss as actual phones so I haven't tested the various Apple approved holding methods).

Also, Apple basically says magnets will turn the Apple Card into a brick.\

Yeah, that's the case with all magnetic strip cards, sherlock

Inside pockets of leather wallets and insides of jeans pocket are usually made of fabric, so you actually won't have many issues to begin with. Second, the physical card is more of a collectible item than anything. Even Apple discourages you to use it, rather instead use Apple Pay on the iPhone with double the cashback.

In other words, they made an extremely attractive premium looking card, so that everybody would get it, and then end up forcing the said users to learn how to use Apple Pay, due to better cashbacks. That was pretty much Apple's master plan tbh

If you have a leather wallet and a plastic card, you will see that the silver punches for your name are no longer solidly silver. The abrasions from pulling any card out of a wallet over time will cause damage. The Apple Card is no different.

The silver paint wearing off a regular card is a thing sure, though imo that isnt as bad as a white "premium" card turning blue because it got put in my jeans pocket a few times.

While titanium sounds fancy and is a good material for certain types of applications, the use here is ridiculous. It's like someone engineered it by randomly picking a material and never actually checked where people store them or how they use them. What's next, credit card protectors so you have them undamaged in wallets meant for credit cards? LOL

What I'd totally dig would be credit card made of Gorilla Glass. Scratch resistant, stain resistant, can actually be bent a lot before it even considers breaking. And it would look sick, transparent with chip on it.

Just because it's made of metal, I don't expect it to be any different even if it's from Apple.

People also have this misconception that TITANIUM is this indestructible metal. It's really not. It has certain cool properties like lightweight for its strength, it's hypoallergenic and very anti-corrosive, but on a hardness scale it's about as tough as stainless steel. Meaning it'll scratch, dent and bend about the same as stainless steel. And if you give it a matte finish it'll work like a sandpaper. Which is why it gets all messed up in jeans and leather wallets. If they made it polished they'd fix those problems, but then it would be a smudge magnet and you'd see all the scratches on it instantly from kilometer away.

Well Apple should have included a credit card protector, or had the cards laminated to prevent the titanium from staining though i guess that would take away from the cool metal feel. Apple not testing things for how people actually use them? Not much of a surprise tbh.

A glass card would be interesting, though i'd rather it be made of metal than glass because i'd rather not have a card in my wallet that is as fragile as a phone screen, and if you accidentally drop your card its gonna be useless shattered glass.

Maybe a weird example, but that doesn't seem to be problem with phones that have a glossy finish on the back, which show even more fingerprints and scratches than a matte finish.
