I thought there were 'rumours' that the new model would boast a 120Hz screen. Someone made a Tech News post about it either way. A lot of iPhone rumours tend to be false.

Nike is headquartered here, where I live in Oregon and they own a boat load of land. They have some stupid ass deal with our city and they don't have to pay taxes for all the goddamn land they own. I'm not sure about that. I know a ton of people that hate wireless headphones because they are pretty inconvenient compared to simply plugging headphones in and it simply works. I would pick wired over wireless for almost everything because wireless is annoying and I have to worry about stupid things like batteries and connection issues.

most wireless headphones come with a wire so you can still use it in wired mode if you desire to do so. mine did anyway.

I use ear buds mostly when I am using headphones with my phone and I haven't seen any yet that have an optional wire. As for over ear headphones I wouldn't pick anything over my sennheiser headphones.

I can only wear EarPods and over ears. In-ear are terrible and even if I get properly fitted silicon tips my ear canal gets fatigued. I also hate that I can hear every little thing that brushes up against the cable...

That's strange. I have never had a problem with either. I actually have ear buds in while I am on my laptop even when I am reading and there isn't anything I am listening to. I guess it's just a habit but I don't get fatigue or anything like that so it isn't much of an issue. I have actually had more issues with over ear headphones being uncomfortable. Then again I had some crap headphones at the time before I found some good ones so it's understandable.

I enjoy the EarPods but most people seem to think they're pretty average sound quality. Do you ever consider getting another pair of in-ear phones? EarPods over ear seem uncomfortable.

Well they are $29. I personally haven't heard any in-ears for that price that sounded better to my ears. Even if there are pairs that "sound better," I still prefer the open nature of EarPods which allows me to hear my surroundings and the comfort of them is unmatched imo.

I have a pair of Sennheiser "open" earbuds that sound pretty good. They don't come with an inline remote or a mic, but eh, I rarely need that.

Interesting, figured they would cling onto lightning until it sent them into their graves. 

 

Will also be the first time they comply with a universal standard on an ipod/iphone product. Firewire>30pin>lightning... aside from the ipod shuffle.

even EarPods. they just hurt after about an hour.
