Just a fake MacBook tbh. Just buy a real one and not have to put up with Windows 10.

at least it's clean windows 10, not bloated one. After 2 years on Win10, I have to say I got used to it over Win7, so wouldn't want to go back. MacOS is just plain ridiculous though

Better design & hardware specs than a ''real'' MacBook, more ports too. I'd rather have this ''fake'' for less tbh.

Seems to me like having the webcam that low would make for a pretty unflattering angle.

MacOS can be intimidating for advanced users, but its pretty fine.

Its actually worse. Its more comparable to a MacBook Air.

I'll just say, better not spill anything on that keyboard. I doubt it'll be on Amazon for $11.

Keyboard is spill resistant.

It's significantly better than a MacBook Air. It's better than a Pro 13. It's beaten by a Pro 15 though. Air is horribly dated anyway. However you can't really compare them. Huawei is positioning it against the Pro 13 but with beefier hardware in a smaller chassis. May cause throttling despite Huawei's claims of a good cooling system.

However it's pretty pricey. A few odd design choices aside, it's likely to be a great buy if you have the cash.

they use some kind of gel for cooling. Like gel balls or something that absorb heat. The Matebook X didn't thottle in most tests unless you pushed the hardware to the limit, but that's rare and not common at all in daily use.

Or just better trackpad drivers. My laptop doesn't register a mouse movement when the palm of my hands sits on it or slides.

Anything in this form factor is going to have bad cooling tbh. Its a real shame because portability is great with these things. You are right you can't really compare them, just too different. I think it would be a good fit against the Pro 13, but both laptops have better uses in different areas.

true

i'd prefer a smaller trackpad though, instead of a huge one.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I wouldn't mind a bigger trackpad if that meant I could use it as a writing input device instead of solely a pointing device. I'm looking at you Apple. Stop increasing the size of the trackpad for no reason. It functions the exact same way as a smaller trackpad, no one asked for this.

I'm not sure why, lol. The macbook trackpad already gets in the way to type comfortably, any larger it should also work as a pen/drawing surface.

I really don’t know why Windows precision drivers still not a standard on Windows laptops. It makes me miss my old 2011 13” MacBook Air’s orgasmic multi touch trackpad.

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Legit question: Why is having a webcam on a laptop such a staple? I mean I get that it might be useful to have than to not have and such, but I've never found myself in a situation, work or otherwise, In which I said "damn I better use a shit quality video feed @480p that's going to lag like all fucking shit and make communication terrible instead of sticking to voice calling!"

Dunno 'bout you but I got a friend who does a weekly WWE podcast over Hangouts/YT with video feed of himself and the others in the podcast, and the only sort of system he can reliably use in his cramped room is a laptop whilst sitting on his bed due to not really having the room space to have a dedicated gaming/streaming PC setup (typically he only plays STO on PC anyway).
