Razer server down, resets all keyboards and mice

By default all of the user profiles, for Razer Keyboard and Mice is actually stored in the cloud. It does have the option to store profiles locally on the device itself, but that option is not turned on. The other problem is, it requires Razer Synapse, which will not work in offline mode.

Never knew Razer profiles are actually store in the cloud and when the server isn't working, it takes your Razer keyboard and mice along with it.

Forcing a cloud service on this is just really dumb. I understand wanting to collect data on their users, but an occasional data dump to their servers makes much more sense than this

Well yeah, forgot about that. Clickbait in general is dumb IMO, it gets people to the page, but the majority of people that fall for the clickbait would probably only be there for around 10 seconds, realise what it is and leave. If you have a company that wants to build a following, and have status that deserves to be followed and be well thought of, then clickbaiting is DAF.

I own many razer mice, none on anything close to default settings and I didn't see this issue at all during the weekend.

 

Also razer synapse works perfectly fine when not connected to the internet so this article is complete bogus.

Odd, I've been gaming all through the weekend, and neither my keyboard, keypad, or mouse, experienced any issues. Maybe the server was only regional?
