Vaio ( Formerly Sony Vaio) Launches New Laptops. High prices, High Fashion, Low Performance

goodtofufriday

Electronic devices in Japan are very expensive. Converting from Yen to USD may not be the best idea as the laptop may be a lot cheaper elsewhere.

All I can say is that this is really a shame. The Vaio line used to be pretty good a few years back. This seems to be pretty much taking advantage of people who want something that looks good and don't know anything about computers. How disappointed they will be.

Vaio made the Z Canvas which was the opposite. High performance and high specs and high price.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

I think they were petty good.

My mum has a 17'' Sony Vaio with an 3rd gen i3 and 4GB of Ram. It looks still very modern for its age, it's relatively thin, has thin bezels, an awesome keyboard and the screen is not bad either.

Back when we had a contract with Sony we'd be getting as many as 50 Vaios in the repair shop that were in desperate need of fixing. I've seen things from power plugs all the way to motherboards failing in stupid ways with no user-damaged parts

I personally remember power plugs being an issue.

Their late game laptops were nice. I believe they used OLED screens and got them to be astonishingly thin, and had great specs. Then they closed up. I was a bit sad since I was impressed finally with their product.

They also have high end line Vaio Z which looks pretty good on the paper. Low end machines are probably there to get to the bigger crowd with something unique, in this case - their color lineup.

That's a very ugly POS laptop, wtf. And I didn't notice the mousepad is lefthanded, more reason to not buy this POS.

GG VAIO, you were the best back in the 2006.
