Best deal you ever got on computer parts?

GamerGuyEbby

I once went to my local flea market and saw a box with many computer parts worth probably around $80-$90 USD for $2, and pretty much all the parts I used worked. The two biggest parts were my EVGA 8800 GTS and ThermalTake Blue Orb II cooler. So it was one hell of a deal. So I was curious of what deals any of you guys have ever gotten regarding computer parts.

Got a free motherboard from Microcenter, but not sure if that counts because it was only because they broke my old one while servicing my PC. Glad I do that myself now xD

Gigabyte HD7970 GHz for free.

For some reason it just "died" in my friend's PC, no matter what he did, he couldn't get it to POST anymore. He's the kind that can't be bothered with the "hassle" of doing a RMA (or anything that require any effort regarding computers, really), so he just bought himself a R9 390 and gave me his "dead" card.

I thought I'd just RMA it, but first I decided to try it in my PC, and it worked. Just in case I ran a bunch of tests on it, including the one I got from my time at Futureshop (Geek Squad MRI), everything came out as perfectly working... So I got a free GPU. I did have to change one of the fans on it because it was no longer spinning and when it did, it made terrible noise, but that's peanuts compared to the cost of the card itself.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Palit Jetstream GTX 670 in 2013. Got the thing for $80

Reason :

Bought an ASUS GTX 560 Ti Direct CU II TOP ($300 in my country because of import tax) last February 2012. 2 weeks before the warranty expired, broke down. Went to the shop where I bought it for RMA. 2 weeks after, they said the supplier doesn't have any more stocks and seemed that the unit was discontinued. Offered me that they'll buy my 560 Ti for a measly $150. I declined. I offered them to upgrade my stuff instead, and I'll pay whatever cash that I lack when I originally bought the 560 Ti. 30 minutes later, they agreed. Paid $80 for the Palit Jetstream GTX 670. Used that for 3 years and 4 (March 1, 2013 - July 11, 2016)  months. Lol.

Is that card any good to use nowadays?  If so that's nice you got it for free.
