Glad to see this video and the collaboration with Louis (I spoke with him the day after the re-soldering scandal thing and he seemed really cool and genuinely bad about how he handled it) and this video shows how awesome both Louis and Linus are by not holding a grudge or dismissing each other based on the content of their videos that don't necessarily reflect their characters.

IF you want linus to show up in front of your door step , Make a video about how wrong he was about one of his videos and BOOM! He'll be there like a genie .

I DID IT BUT IT WORKED. yeah but that is not the point, because 1) that is unscientific 2) you had no idea what was wrong with it in the first place 3) your father somehow get it in and that worked, doesn't mean it does all the time.

Louis actually adresses this in his vlog about this video, basically there were talking and not paying attention to the chip and so it melted.

I was kinda disappointed with LTT video. I saw Louis take on meeting Linus and was expecting some of the things he talked about. Linus' video was kinda shallow for my expectations. In my opinion Louis' vlog was better. 

Not a bad video, but Louis was awkward and everything was to fast.

Luckily only I have to deal with my own expectations and how they mean nothing to anyone.

To be honest I really dislike this guy he seems overall very immature and doesn't seem to understand how the world works. In one his his recent videos someone gave him crap about charging $65 for a 40 dollar charger the customer ended up buying a cheap one on Amazon (Like any reasonable uneducated person would) that broke is Macbook, and the guy still went back to him even though he knew he did something dumb and paid $300+ for the repair and the asshole didn't even properly test the board what the hell? That is not a way to do business and sorry but that is just the shit you have to deal with servicing people get over it.

He has other videos too titled "It specialist can suck my dick" "The cost of being an asshole" lmao what is this guy 10? I hope it bites him back soon.

You completely missed the point of the video, it was to show the proper way to repair a board, that's all. Just because he used a scrap board that is beyond repair and/or they talked so much that they forgot about the board and fucked it doesn't mean his method sucks. Note that just because Linus video was released today doesn't mean it was finished today, the video got released 1 week ago on vessel and was probably finished way before that.

 

If you followed Louis you would know why he does what he does and why he rants about Apple. You repair products because it's what you do/for the money, you don't have to

like the brand.. why the hell would you like a brand which products are badly engineered in you have to constantly fix them?

 

Idk how to comment on your last sentence, if you honestly believe a shitty cooking oven is better suited than a professional repair station based on a the results from just a mare two different boards with different issues....

I'd say it's the opposite, if you actually watch his videos and listen to what he says, the cursing and clickbait titles aside, he is quite mature and logical individual. His vlog/rant style videos and informal and not targeted at minors, he doesn't have to mind his language. Personally I love his style, straight forward and telling it like it is, no bullshitting around or sugarcoating. Enough with all the political correctness.

I agree. I know most of LMG audience is kids/teens and that it's the YouTube comment section but come on, the comments under the video are unbearable, some people just can't display a single glimpse of critical thinking.
