Well, it's been about a year. After your vessel trial ends, are you paying?

Paying for Vessel?

I won't be paying for vessel, simply because:
1. Not enough interesting content for me
2. The video player is not very good compared to competitors
3. I'm willing to wait a week to watch the content on youtube and support LMG through ad-revenue

By the sounds of it, vessel won't be around much longer when the free early-access ends. The only reason people tolerate vessel is because it's free. As soon as a subscription charge is introduced, people will move back to youtube and youtube red.

  • 2 weeks later...

I know mine is expiring soon, so my question is, will you renew?

Do you feel it's worth to pay to see LTT earlier than on youtube.

My subscription expired.

The fun thing is that I used the site 3 or 4 times. Its design suck and in general I don`t like it that is why I didn`t use it.

Even if they give another free subscription I will not even bother to make an account.

As for paying for it - ridiculous and is no for me.

It's either monthly or annual, and you get a discount for annual.

I believe it's Approx $20USD a year?

or $3.99 a month?

Even though my year is pretty much over, I'm still gonna keep it just because it seems to offer better quality than YouTube (when it isn't overloaded).

Why not become a contributor on the forum? pretty sure that would actually give them a lot more money than Vessel.

I still can't justify that. I know mentally i will be supporting them but i will feel lacking. If it has yearly donation, then i might consider that and still keep vessel.

It does

cheapest tier, yearly payment of $55.00 per year.

There's also a Patreon, you could give like $1 a month to it... But it's for ChannelSuperFun.

So now Vessel is also handing out a one month free trial after the free year ended..

Edit: It asks you if you want a free trial and then makes you pay for it if you accept, lol.

I've read the small prints, it only asks you for your credit card details like any other services. And as any other services, you will not be charged if you cancel services within one month minus 1 day.

If there's anything I liked about Vessel, it was how they delivered ads. 5 seconds ads aren't annoying, and you can deliver a product or message in about 5 seconds.

YouTube should definitely learn from this! :)

For me, the question is less about Vessel and more about LTT. There's nothing else on vessel I'm interested in besides LTT. LTT does not produce enough relative content for me to justify 20$ a year. If I could buy all the LMG content access for say 20$ a year I would be interested. No ads of course...

Personally I WILL NOT pay for Vessel. I rather support them directly than Vessel. Vessel is really bugy especially with my Chromecast (where I watch a lot of content when I'm at home) compared to other video platforms. Even though there are other channels that I watch that are on both Vessel and YouTube, I only watched Linus's videos and sometimes NCIX when I had Vessel.
