without manually restarting the client when the waiting time gets too long, not that i'm aware of. it's baked in.

So not worth it?

Anyone else seeing this? I've got 3 machines on my network running FAH, and this is happening on all three. Basically the web dashboard just kinda flashes and refreshes constantly. I've got both GPU and CPU assignments work successfully, and the web dashboard has worked but seems to have screwed the pooch now. I've tried clearing cache/cookies, etc... Running incognito, different browsers, http/https... all the things.

I also can't seem to get a passkey regardless of what I do (multiple different email addresses over 16+ hours)

@GOTSpectrum

Is it worth it to switch your preference to another project? Or will there also be no WU available?

bold of you to assume i can download a work unit to attack it with. my main machine just picked one up after 7 hours of waiting.

I am waiting to atm, is there a way to let it check more frequently?

There is a way however DON'T do it unless you know you'll likely get a task. I've done it a handful of times, but only after one computer got a task and only that specific computer part (aka CPU only or GPU only and not both)

Remove and re-add said CPU/GPU. But like I said DON'T do it because you've not gotten a wu in hours w/o knowing you can get another. This means multiple computers or multiple gpu units only (and please don't force one because non have tasks)

Just leave it on any and you will get WUs when they are available

no, i'm not dumping my slots, do not do this. it does not work any better than restarting your client does.

It works nonetheless, it doesn't effect uploads nor current projects being done on other slots unlike restarting.

I restarted my computer now my client will not connect. I did not find anything about this on FAH site or the FAQs here on the forums. I think I may have selected manual start when I installed FAH, but I figure all I need to do is open my client advanced control and it should be fine, no? The web control won't work either. Is there something special I need to do to start the FAH service??

C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient

then start the app called 'hideconsole' This should start the folding core.

That is if you dont see FAH in your task manager

Apparently I needed to start Folding@home from the start menu, not just FAH control.

i have had to remove slots before while things were downloading and i've seen it return both dumped and something like invalid slot, so i'm not taking any chances lol

Right now I don't think they care. I saw that dump once which is confusing. I'm guessing it drops downloads for all if you remove one, Idk. I wasn't downloading nor doing a task on the slot in question either but might have been downloading for another slot.

that's the core wrapper, not the application

I have a separate task called FAHCoreWrapper. FahCore_22 is the task actually pulling resources from my PC.
