Why are there no open world games for uk ?

Honestly for years I’ve been thinking of bloody doing it because what? No other bloody dev has.... okay

Besides, every open-world American game takes place in Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York City... or Chicago, if you're Watch Dogs. Very rarely do they take place in a city outside of there.

Another thing to consider is how does the UK even feel about something like being represented in a game like GTA? I recall New York City officials at the time weren't too thrilled GTA IV's setting was based on it.

It's much easier for devs to take influence than start to model actual places. Because when they aren't perfect, people get upset.
