How many browser tabs do you have open right now?

bcredeur97

My friend keeps over 300 open at a time and gets furious when I ask him if I can close some to make it easier for me to use some tabs when I'm at his place

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Do you think that you can correlate how messy someone’s desktop is with the avg number of tabs they usually have open?

messy desktop, tons of tabs with multiple windows.. basically always.

172. There are certainly some that I can close, but most I still want open.

Firefox makes that work fine for me.

Only 1. I rarely pass over 4.

I use the Bookmark features that web browser have. I know many don't know about it...

Yo, what's a bookmark? If there is a better solution than Chrome bookmarks, let me know, i.e. if anyone has such good sync on different devices.

Just to be clear, how many/how big monitor/s are you using? After a certain point, you can't even know which tab is which.

I use Firefox, so the tab bar scrolls instead, and I have my tabs separated into groups that I switch between using a dropdown (one for LTT stuff, one for a project that I'm working on, etc). At 1080p, the tab bar in my project group looks a bit like this:

I can scroll and see all of my tabs, and most things are pretty easy to find.

Also, most of the tabs are unloaded at the moment, so they don't use up much memory.

Oh right, FF has the scroll function. Now I remember why I don't use it. It sounds convenient, but my good can it be frustrating. Then again, 172 tabs on Chrome... sounds even worse.

I didn't know about the dropdown option though.

I can't screenshot mine right now because it's for work... but right now I have 15 tabs open.

One of my coworkers thinks it's abnormal to have so many open.

I don't agree with him... I've seen plenty of people with more tabs open than what I have open right now. But maybe I'm wrong...

normally like 6-8, I have had 20 different tabs open in the past though.
