I know this looks like an advertisement but I just saw LTT video on OLED Burn-In today and I just wanted to say Best Buy Geek Squad covers OLED burn in (USA and CDN I know for sure). I managed to get the BX last year for $500 off and I used the savings to buy the 4yr Geek Squad plan
 
I still take precautions, I hide the task bar (I have a desktop clock on a spare monitor), wallpaper is black and I changed my mouse cursor to black with a white outline (which makes it SUPER easy to see now BTW)

edit: its getting to the point that I need to start being less cautions, I spent $400 on the warranty so I need to burn in this TV in before the 4yrs is up to get my monies worth 🙂

Yeah it worked for me as well, Windows wouldn't remember.
But set it up once in NVIDIA control panel and i'm still enjoying it, hundreds of reboots later. 😉

HOLY SHIT that worked immediately! I didn't have to go to display settings and extend desktop and it worked first time. No idea if it will stay like this after restart but honestly if this works every time it is a massive difference

You should not use display or GPU upscaling with DLSS. DLSS reduces the render resolution and applies a superior upscaling algorithm. When using DLSS, you should use the display's native resolution, and use lower DLSS settings to further reduce the render resolution if you still need more FPS. This will achieve a better picture quality at the same frame rate vs using DLSS in addition to display or GPU upscaling.
 
But no, you should not have an issue with that, aside from an inferior picture quality.

I add more thermal paste, positioned the heatsink so the fans are blowing out the back (not the top) and playing in BFV my temps went from ~80C to ~70C

I installed the heatsink with the fans facing the top of the case (not the back) so I'm thinking a lot of the heat from the GPU is going through my heatsink right now. Also I don't think I applied enough thermal paste. My idle temp is 38-42C and when I game it goes from 75-80C depending on the game
 
edit: and once again all my cores are boosting to 4.8Ghz and my temps are now back to 70C

Going from i7 4770k to 5800x is a totally different experience that I was not expecting

Ya I decided to go with Samsung as my friend said the exact same thing

Give me a break, I don't have to give you some long laundry list of games that I intend to play and it is implied at high/maximum graphics.
 
If you have no idea what you are talking about why did you post anything, or do you like how you sound in your head?

Make sure the TV has the latest firmware installed.
And ur GPU drivers also updated.
 
Ull also need to run 4k 60hz 4:2:2 to have 10bit work until u get a RTX 30 series, or AMD 6000 series card with HDMI 2.1
 
Select YCbCr 4:2:2 , 10bit should be an option then.
 
Alternatively set 4k 50hz, then u can run full RGB / YCbCr 444 with 10bit., using a HDMI 2.0 GPU

Nvidia made it so you can easily install RTX Voice on GTX cards, you no longer have to go into the installation and edit it to install it. So if you are not using the camera function I don't see a reason to use Broadcast at all

Unless you've previously set them to use some other microphone than whatever you have as default, then no.

It's one less device. If you have multiple TV's in your home never have to worry about the remote

The driver support, the extra features (I actually like Gforce Experience, Nvidia Voice seems like a must have for people working at home) and even tho I only have a Nvidia compatible monitor I will be buying Nvidia because for me it doesn't matter if Radeon is a little cheaper when their drivers are dogshit

That's exactly what I'm doing. Going with the 3080 since I game on a 1440p 144hz monitor that will probably be more then enough (right now I have a 1080Ti)

edit: It like duing the cold war allowing USSR to read your personal mail. In the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal but China is getting value from it so why allow it?
