Connecting LG BX (OLED TV) to my PC, how do I set it to 10 bit RGB??

Orfieus

I went to my NVidia settings and in Charge Resolution I'm not able to change anything.

Use NVidia Colour Settings = selected

Desktop Colour = Highest (32bit), there are no other options

Output Colour Depth = 8 bpc, there are no other options

Output Colour format = YCbCr420, no other option not even RBG

Output dynamic range = Limited, no other option

I need to set my OLED to Highest (32bit), 10bpc, RGB, Full and I have no idea what to do

I am waiting for my HDMI 2.1 to arrive and right now I am using a old HDMI cable (might be 1,4), could this be the issue? I'm also using a 1080Ti, waiting to get the 3080 which might not happen till like 2022. I'm also in Game mode on TV and I changed the name of my input from HDMI 4 to PC (I remember reading that I had to change the name of the input to PC for some reason and I hope I did that right)

Can anyone help me out here?

edit: I thought I should also say BestBuy Geek Squad Protection plan covers OLED burn-in which is why I'm not worried about burn-in at all

You won't until you get the 3080 and its HDMI 2.1.

I use 2080 tis with LG B9s and I get:

Desktop Colour = 32bit

Output Colour Depth = 8 bpc

Output Colour format = RGB, YCbCr420, YCbCr422, YCbCr444.

Output dynamic range = Limited and Full.

I had one of the B9s on a GTX 1080 ti and it did have the same settings as my 2080 ti but not VRR so I bought another 2080 ti in June.

When I got the TVs I bought 8k cables as well so since I did not do a before and after I don't know it you are having a cable issue.

I have been using a B9 as a monitor since last black Friday.

The only things I do is switch it off if I know I will be away for a while and have windows HDR off unless I am playing an HDR game or Youtube content.

My picture is still perfect and I expect it to stay that way

My cable should be coming in a few days and I'm hoping it will fix my issue

I can't wait till I can get a 3080 but I'm not holding my breath till that happens

The official firmware upgrade for my TVs is not until next month so I am not in a hurry to get the 30 series yet.

Most of the games I play at 4k are not the type that benefit going past 60fps. The games I do play at 1440p 120hz look fine on the OLED. It really puts my LG 32" 1440p 144hz monitor to shame.

I just want the most out of the TV even though I don't need it.

My HDMI 2.1 came in and I now have the same exact settings however I was expecting to have the 8/10/12 bit options (still can only choose 8bit) so I'm not sure what is going on TBH

As said before having a 2.1 cable does nothing until the GPU also does 2.1.

I have the same as well so we still have to wait to get a 3090/3080 for 10bit.

Make sure the TV has the latest firmware installed.

And ur GPU drivers also updated.

Ull also need to run 4k 60hz 4:2:2 to have 10bit work until u get a RTX 30 series, or AMD 6000 series card with HDMI 2.1

Select YCbCr 4:2:2 , 10bit should be an option then.

Alternatively set 4k 50hz, then u can run full RGB / YCbCr 444 with 10bit., using a HDMI 2.0 GPU
