FrostBittn got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Funimation users will not be able to keep purchased media after Crunchyroll merger
    Summary
Funimation made a post earlier today detailing the end of the service and what it's users can expect going forward. And unfortunately any previously purchased content will not be transferred to Crunchyroll

    My thoughts
They do offer the option to refund the subscription, but nothing is noted for refunding Digital Copies. It would make sense if not all content could be transferred over to Crunchyroll because licensing is a nightmare. But given how they worded it would be handled, "...previously available digital copies will not be supported", I have no hope for any content to transfer over. The worst part about this is the people that are most affected are the people that invested the most into the service.

First off, do you actually need a 7950x3D? Should say what you exactly intend to do for work besides gaming. I usually say go 7800x3D / 14700k for gaming/ content creation stuff. Depending on what you do. I dont ever recommend 7950x3D as the issues with it are prevalent, go 7950x as its good enough for both gaming and work without needing special scheduling drivers that are known to have issues.

You dont need a $500 motherboard, also you dont need PCIE 5.0 stuff, especially NVME drives. Gen 4 NVME's is all you will ever need for now. By the time it potenitally matters in 10+ years you will need to upgrade anyhow, and B650 boards can support it too.

RAID or "redundant array of independent disks" is for hard drives.
What you meant was a partition on a hard drive. Create a dedicated allocation to load either different OS or VM environments

difficult to understand what you're getting at here, but from the information available i think it's safe to assume this is a good answer:

FrostBittn reacted to Blue4130 in Can I use the worst GPU I can find for raid
That's not what raid is. And just adding a second gpu doesn't allow you to use one pc as two. It's much more complicated than that, and usually not worth the hassle over just getting a used second pc.

Now THAT would get people to switch to Linux.

The highlighted part seems ultra-scummy to me. If I already paid for access to the updates, why the hell are you downgrading me?

FrostBittn reacted to HenrySalayne in Rocksmith + close to release but pulls an adobe
If you consider this being something like Spotify with a lot less variety but the addition of the actual chords for guitar and bass, it makes more sense.
Also if account sharing would be possible - not that anybody would do that - this could be quite a cool thing to do with your band or a group of friends. But I guess Ubisoft will try their best to prevent this.

End of August I was flying to British Columbia.  As I settled into my seat in coach, I pulled out my Switch.  The guy next to me pulled out his.  The guy next to him pulled out his.  We all laughed... And they were sad cause I had Quake but not Smash Brothers... 😞

I think you're being way too harsh on the device.

Yes, there's a bit too much hype, but it is an interesting product and, even though I have no real use case for it, I am mightily tempted  to get one.
A tiny, somewhat capable "laptop" that you don't need to worry about cooking your genitalia or finding a table, and you don't need to carry any peripherals around if you wanna play some games (not all, though).
Also, if these devices had no use and no interest, how come GDP has been making them for years and recently even got competition (Aya NEO, OnePlayer)?

Valve is making this much more appealing to the mass market by putting the weight of an actually large corporation behind it, and slashing the price aggressively to make it much more palatable.

And on the software side, if everything goes according to Valve's claims (probably not, but we'll see how close they can get), it could be a huge boost to Linux gaming if enough people buy it and stick to using SteamOS. That possibility (unlikely as it might be) alone makes this a device worth keeping an eye on.

Huh. I didn't know Hearts of Iron 4 was on the switch.

Maybe many of those games are on the switch. You know what isn't on the switch? My humongous Steam library that I'd need to re-purchase, on top of the cost of the device.
Also, can the switch run discord with BT headsets/earphones? Can I browse internet on the switch? Remember, this isn't just a "switch-like", it's a bloody computer.
If I was in the market for something portable to play games, I wouldn't even look at the switch, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.
Again, GDP and it's competitors which already existed before Valve even announced their device? And their products are far more expensive than this!

There's no reason to give them your computer name. This is most likely some kind of scam, although I can't think of the exact attack vector. I recommend not responding and reporting this individual.

Edit: and given the broken english ("thank you for your trust and shop" wtf) it seems pretty obvious tbh

Why would you do that, defender is basically just as good now. And get legit keys if your buying software.

Not really a risk as its not accessable outside of the network, and these gray market keys might be tied to hardware or a VL server is probalby why its needed. But really refund this order or just dont use the software.

These were not reasonable choices imho.

ROG Strix series GPU-s are incredibly overpriced. I'm sure you'd have been able to get a 2060 for that price.
The Mobo does not support OC-ing (cpu-s with "k" designation), neither those RAM speeds.

I think you should have gone with 2060, a Z-series motherboard, a slightly cheaper ram (there is really not that much advantage of 3400 compared to 3000, whereas the latter is much more cheaper..) And you could have probably saved afew bucks on the cpu.

Have you actually bought them? If not, try to cancel the order. And order a different pack.

Vega cores? Nothing in this post has anything Vega.

Do you need an upgrade right now? If not, I would wait a couple more months for Zen 2 to be released. But if you need an upgrade today, I would get the 2600 over the 1700 because of the small single core performance boost and the better memory controller. Which means better compatibility with more ram.
And if you get the 2600, make sure to update your motherboard's bios if it is a B350/X370 board.
