NoobCase got a reaction from Catsrules in Missing CPU threads
Pretty sure the i3s just recently became 4 cores. The one you have is a 2 core with hyperthreading. So 2 cores 4 threads.
intel ark confirms:
https://ark.intel.com/products/65690/Intel-Core-i3-3240-Processor-3M-Cache-3_40-GHz
if it only state 2 threads then see if you have hyperthreading enabled in bios.

Bending pins shouldn't matter, unless you crossed a power supply pin with something.
Two places to check would be the BIOS/UEFI to make sure the option for Hyperthreading is enabled and in msconfig -> Boot -> Advanced to make sure that Windows isn't restricting itself on how many logical processors to use.

NoobCase reacted to TVwazhere in Will get a Fractal Design Meshify Nano S?
FD is notoriously tight lipped about potential releases of future cases, often just dropping cases out of no where at no apparent schedule. Another hopeful is a Meshify R6, but dont expect to get a solid yes or no out of @fractaljosh!
As for mITX cases that are actually mITX sized, the Ncase M1, DanCase c4-SFX and Loque Ghost S1 are the three big contenders

NoobCase got a reaction from mohajem in Air in the res
While on the side make sure the res has a port open in order to let the air escape. Then fill it up. Make sure to have the pump at full tilt to move trapped air out. Alternating the pump speed Can help as well as Well as tiltning the case around. Make sure to have all ports securely sealed when doing so....

Im personally doing that. Sounds like you dont really need the upgrade right now, so I would advice you to wait.

NoobCase reacted to vanished in What is this, I think it's an m.2 but it shouldn't be there.
I guess this is resolved already but just because it's haswell doesn't automatically rule it out for having M.2, those started to show up as early as Z/H/*97

I usually use rubbing alcohol to clean off most things. Because it evaporates it won't harm your computer. I can't tell if the cleaner is leaving residue or it stripped off a layer of paint. But if it is just residue the alcohol could help.

NoobCase got a reaction from Jaok in What's the best distro of linux?
Pretty novice here... ubuntu was the easier to find guides on. But fedora, debian and mint is almost as easy. But i Do believe ubuntu is the better supporter ones when it comes to packages for US noobs.

NoobCase reacted to dizmo in Wrong PSU shipped - Should I still use?
Contact the company and inform them of their mistake. Then decide from there.
If they want it back, do that. If they let you keep it, just use it. It can't hurt.
Welcome to the forum.

NoobCase reacted to Revamp in Wrong PSU shipped - Should I still use?
Having too much as far as PSU capabilities won't hurt anything. Your PC will pull what it needs.

NoobCase reacted to AngryBeaver in Wrong PSU shipped - Should I still use?
Being this was from EVGA, it could have been they didn't have the 750 in stock so gave you a free upgrade to a better PSU. This is their MO which is why people choose them over other companies. Their support is TOP notch.
