Can I add 4gb VRAM to a rx 580?

i360o

Hi!

I wanted to purchase this pre-built pc: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A4-Desktop-i5-7400-7200RPM/dp/B0747W15QL/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1522490964&sr=1-7&keywords=pc

As you can see it has a Rx 580 with 4gb VRAM

Now I was wondering if I could turn it into a 8gb or even 12gb with 1,respectively 2 sticks of the same type of RAM.

I heard this isn't possible from some articles, but they were out of date, being uploaded 5-4 years ago.

Can someone help me?

you are obviously new to PC, aren’t you? Watch the techquickie video on what VRAM is

RAM is something you plug into your motherboard, which is upgradable. VRAM, the RAM on your GPU is not upgradable
