Fallout 4 is official

As we already know thanks to an accidental early website leak, Fallout 4 is official, and it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

It’s been seven years since Bethesda Game Studios’ last Fallout game—New Vegas, which came out in 2010, was developed by Obsidian—and people have been going crazy in anticipation for what we all assumed would be Fallout 4. Now, it’s official. After releasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2011, Bethesda Game Studios moved on to the next Fallout.

Bethesda is promising that we’ll see more during their E3 press conference, and I imagine we’ll see a lengthy gameplay demo as well as an official release window. (A fall 2015 release would be wonderful.)

Fallout 4 is set in a post-apocalyptic Boston, and the Vault-Dweller at the center of the game roams the wasteland with a canine companion at his side, according to the game's debut trailer.
The introduction's voice-over mentions "confirmed reports of nuclear detonation," and notes: "War. War never changes." Following that somber opening set to "It's All Over But the Crying" by The Ink Spots — a group whose music has been featured frequently in Fallout games — the trailer leads the Vault-Dweller out of Vault 111 and into the wasteland. From then on, we see shots of post-apocalyptic society, including a few recognizable Boston landmarks

The official release date is yet to be announced, so maybe we'll see that at E3 with some gameplay video(s)?

Its a count down on the fallout page on bethsoft. Thats a 100% confirmation. release dates well no one knows. But this is the first confirmation we've had.

Fallout 4 has to be coming out. It makes perfect sense. The last Fallout game was many years ago and only Fallout or the next Elder Scrolls would be "something huge" in their words, and worthy of its own event. It's definitely Fallout and I think people saw this coming multiple months ago.
