  1. I should also probably ask would my 550 watt power supply be enough for the 2070 or get a 650?
  2. 1. Budget & Location - For a GPU alone $550 seem reasonable? US (Texas if it really helps with parts choosen) 2. Aim Play games (Steam/GOG) - DOOM (2016)/eternal /newer wolfensteins - Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind (all heavily modded) /other - Baldur's Gate 3/2 / 1 - The Witcher 3/Cyberpunk 2077 - Batman: Arkham (Asylum/City/Origins/Knight) - System Shock 1 (Remake)/SystemShock 3 - Grim Dawn / Titan quest - Divinity Original sins (series) - Others (Tomb Raider, Dishonored . . . . . . . . .) - Emulation/older games (last de
  3. I think I may be in the market for a wireless (bluetooth or other) that uses inductive charging, what brands and or mice would be good? Second any good multimedia keyboards that are also wireless? Don't care if the keyboard supports macros or not, but I would 100% want multimedia keys . . . . .
  4. Thanks to mother nature around very early June I no longer have actual PC speakers, at the moment I'm using basically these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZV6TYQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010OYASRG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Which works for the most part but I think I'd like some bookshelf (or similar size to these) speakers for Christmas. Do all PC speakers come with a headphone port on one of the speakers? If not I'd would likely like that. I do have a 27" Asus PB278Q on this small desk,
  5. If it was actually made also a ~68.58cm (27 inch for non-metric) size. The theoretical TV could be interesting but I don't think I'd be buying a 40-70" display.
  6. I'd think $100 (USA) or less should suffice, I think the old speakers were ~$40.
  7. Earlier this month (June 2nd to be precise), we had rain, thunder, lightning and we think the house got struck - one of the things that borked were the speakers for this computer (see specs below). CPU: Intel - Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB ATX LGA1155 Motherboard So I need some new ones. The previous were some logitech 2ch that could also have an ipod connected (headphone cable) and could control the volume output by the speakers. I don't have alot of room, so they'd likely have to be 2ch again . . . .
  8. Curious if external blu-ray readers (I do not need a burner or writer, if possible) exists - as I would like to play the blu-ray's I've collected in VLC on a laptop (which doesn't have any optical drive) a little more slowed down than normal to watch in a different language (French, German, Italian, etc). C'est possible? Merci, Danke, Grazie, thank you . . . .
  9. So we literately (like a day ago) asked our ISP (AT&T) to (temporarily? I'm not sure) upgrade us to 45 Mbits/second (~6MBytes/second), the computer that connects to the router via ethernet gets pretty much the speeds it should, hell my nexus 5x can at lest get up to ~40+ Mbits but this computer I'm on (built) gets ~20 Mbits - although that is through wi-fi and about 50+feet from the router . . . . Either via fast.com, or speedtest.net. Would we need a booster?
  10. Bought a Lemur 14" laptop from system 76 in July, and what like to change the current SSD in it to something that has more space (750+GB?) What do yall suggest? . ..
  11. Oddly it did see it earlier today (I was trying to "recover" it). As for cables I am absolutely sure both power & data are still there. As for the BIOS oddly two of my drives (I think it's both the 3TB) aren't seen in the BIOS but both were useable and my other 3TB (for Windows games) is still usable. Oh and both were partitioned to GPT, not MBR though I don't think should that make a difference weather the graphical BIOS (UEFI?) should 'see' the drives or not)
  12. 'T seems one of my hard drives one Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive can no longer been found (let alone mounted) by either Windows or Linux. Gparted, no longer shows it, disks (gnome-disk-utility?) no longer sees it . . . I should have (all together): 1 120GB SSD (OS) 1 250GB SSD (few windows/linux games) 1 2TB HDD (linux games) 2 3TB HDD (one for Windows games, the other for general storage - media, virtual machines, etc) Or do I just need to buy another 3TB (or larger) drive? . . .
  13. Puppy dog linux I think takes ~15 MB of space, no idea what it comes with it.
  14. I bought a lemur 14" laptop from system76 in July, and I'm thinking of replacing the current 256 GB SSD with one with higher capacity, and if possible eventually install a second (if that's possible after buying and construction of the system). i know this isn't the right forum for it, but I would also like to eventually upgrade the amount of RAM as well.
  15. I said 50 ft (feet) (about 25 meters). Secondly this is a house, not a company, nor does our ISP (AT&T give anyway NEAR 32 MB, try ~2MB) let alone 10 GB . . . . Also I'm in the US. . . .
