A 7 inch smart phone?

YES, that's right. A giant phablet. It is only a low to mid range phone though from Ramos called The Ramos Q7. It is also a windows phone.

post-5026-0-78822800-1430085944.jpg

Specs:

  • 1280x720 IPS LCD screen
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1.2-1.4 GHz clock speed
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB of internal storage
  • 5MP rear camera
  • 2MP front-facing camera

While not impressive specs the thing that is amazing is the 4000 mAh battery. This thing may last you days. Ramos I believe is a Chinese OEM and the phone most likely will only be available in China.

The second largest smart phone I know of is 6 inches which is already to large for me. Have you heard of any other giant smart phones and those of you that like large phones, is there to big or is this a dream size to have?

Well, that's just taking the whole concept of a phablet way too literally, now is it?

Eeeew. That 720p panel is gonna look atrocious at a size that big. Pixel density will be terrible.

Display resolutions are so different through. Nexus 6 is a phablet too, but at least it's 1440p, much less 1080p. "new" phone in OP is 1280x720.

Nah, my dad still wants a decent phone the size of an iPad Mini - the iPhone 6+ is pretty close to what he wants.

I'm pretty much okay one handing a Note 4, and I'm just slightly above average height (going to grow further obviously, but still). My hand span is about 8 inches.

Sig under construction.

Wow, I never knew there were that large of smart phones. Personally, my 5in phone is just right for me.

Uhh, I was just talking about display sizes. My Z ultra is a freak compared to most phones(phablets, whatever).

and maybe Asus have one.

They have one of the best things I've ever seen:

I really wanted one of these, but I couldn't find one with the things I needed.

Tell that to people who use 15" 720p notebooks.

720p at 7"?

The pixels must look as large as Mario Bros. bricks.

They don't keep those 1-2 (in rare cases) feet from their faces. They're usually ~3 on a table.

This is a cheap phone, so 1280x720 is reasonable.

The specs are less than stellar though. 720p screen at that size is pretty meh.

Not if its around the $90 mark, because that phone's got pretty much the same specs as my Pendo 7 tablet (except for the storage and mobile phone capability).

You know Samsung is looking at this and thinking the new Tab series is going to merge with the Note series.

I think their Galaxy notes already look ridiculous when held up to someone's ear, imagine an even larger phablet......

There are a few phones this size already. I think some 6.3" phones could be manageable once they figure out a way to reduce the chin and forehead of the phones, not just the side bezels (though they are arguably more important).

I wouldn't mind a phone with a gigantic display if it were more pocketable. The time will come. We just have to wait.

At that point it is way to big to be used a phone, and with the 720p resolution it won't look very good either.
