Personally, I would have tried to get some better temps (Maybe a radiator on the bottom) some extra fans/heatsinks and an overall better airflow.
Fantastic build though!

LOL I'm waiting for Apple to see this, chances are they will sue the person that made this just because that's what they do best. If you can say they innovated anything, We can all agree that they more then innovated the art of suing they reinvented they way people sue and took it to a whole new level lol.

Sweet build by they way for the person that did it, very well put together.

It’s no secret that Apple’s Late 2013 Mac Pro looks strikingly similar to a (really futuristic, shiny, insanely great) trash can; take a look for yourself. You can even replace the Trash icon on your OS X Dock with a… Mac Pro. Let’s just agree there’s a certain…resemblance.

That inspired one Apple fan to build a Hackintosh based on the new Mac Pro design using, yes, an actual trash can (specifically, an Authenics Lunar <–check scale) for the casing. The result isn’t exactly as powerful as the Mac Pro sold today by Apple; this specific build lacks Thunderbolt support and its processor is a Haswell i3 that you might find in a much cheaper PC.

More Images on the Specs Page.

This is pretty cool that someone was able to fit a build in a trashcan. Even though its not as powerful as a Mac Pro its still a pretty great project to do. :)

Whoops just remembered that this should be in Case Modding and Other Mods... :/ Reported.

Wanna bet, this is Apple we are talking about, the company that sued a company over the angle of a curved edge. There are publishers that sue an individual for making a mod.

Specs are no where near the actual spec of the MacPro of late, but the German moder where TonyMacx86 forum member made him notice, made it possible to make a.. I guess you can say, consumer level, MacPro.

We can see that with some additional resources the end product could have been polished further for a closer resemblance, and perhaps more performance, but pretty darn good replica none the less.

The system is equipped with a Core fourth generation i3 Haswell, uses the Gigabyte z87n wifi motherboard, has a single Radeon 7750 and has a SDD & HDD.

It of courses uses consumer grade DDR3 memory and doesn't' have thunderbolt.

How did he get the cylinder shape to make it the enclosure?

Well a trash can of course! This one, which he painted red: http://www.amazon.de/Authentics-1200614-Bad-Abfalleimer-LUNAR-hellgrau/dp/B000TGKBRC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388662124&sr=8-1&keywords=Authentics+-+Lunar

They can't sue. It's not like he's selling the device or trying to get a patent for the design. However, I can see some sort of loophole being found and Apple's legal team making a huge deal out of it for no reason.
