Case still stands.

Cursive teaches good handwriting. I can't read half of the shit written by ppl who do not know cursive. Their hand writting is fcking atrocious.

When you type your essay, pick a cursive font. If your teachers frown on it, tell them to stop butchering proper penmanship.

Couldn't agree more. My elementary school (private school) had a mandatory handwriting class in the 5th grade. I can still write cursive fairly decently but more importantly it helped to hone my penmanship.

I regularly get praises for my penmanship, though I tend to use block lettering and write in all caps nowadays. But it's so neat and legible compared to the chicken scratches that my friends and coworkers do.

Disagree strongly here. Almost every older person that grew up with cursive writing that I've met, their writing is terrible and difficult to read. The only person who's cursive writing I can read easily is my Fiancee's, and she's a millennial.

Yeah. This is terrible advice. Don't do this.

If you use a cursive font in College or University for an essay, you're likely to fail your assignment, or lose heavy marks for it.

No, parents, germs aka pathogens caused common colds, not the temperature.

Having a lowered body temp activates most of the common cold pathogens. On the flip side, wearing clothing that is too warm will also cause a decrease in body temp after a while leading to much of the same.

I remembered my other misconception being that plastics make metal transparent.

Agreed. If your handwriting starts and ends well, it’s legible. If it starts or ends poorly, it’s crap.

I’ve always used Lucida Handwriting on my papers. If anyone has issues, I can resubmit the paper, but script is largely more fluid for me to read than someone’s chicken-scratch.

Not really, since they aren't growing back. You're getting dental implants.

Yhyh, but when i was younger and my first set of teeth fell out, i didn't think they were going to 'grow' back (get my adult teeth)

I see. But that's a distinct difference - baby teeth fall out, and then your adult teeth follow. But they're not "regrowing", and as an adult, if you loose a tooth, it's gone.

There's a company out there trying to understand  how teeth grow and the process that ends enamel and dentin production in children. Hopefully they can figure it out and make it seamless.

Fun fact, that was a lie propagated by British/Allied propaganda during WW2. They were able to miniaturize RADAR technology enough to start installing them into combat aircraft, but they didn't want the Axis powers to know this, so they started spreading lies saying that UK pilots just had really good eye sight due to eating so many carrots.

This might be the coolest thing I've been told, though somehow I feel like I've been informed of this misconception once before.

Yes I’ve heard of the research on this. At least one group was looking into shark DNA and how they do it.

It would revolutionize the dental industry if possible.
