It's technically a whole number, but a number we can never calculate due to the shear size(maybe one day), unlike Pi which we know trillions of numbers to it but is endless in nature.

If there’s a childhood misconception that I’ve outgrown in adulthood, it would be believing in a supreme deity up in the sky somewhere separate and apart from humanity, to be the only path to forgiveness and salvation. 

 

Other misconception I outgrew would be draining a phone’s battery to zero before charging which is only true to Nickel Cadmium batteries but not to Li-Ion.

I will preface with I’m not American and American geography wasn’t taught to me.

But my 6th grade teacher told me the DC in Washington DC stood for Washington, Designated Capital.

 

I started working in the US very recently (though had already visited DC 5 or 6 times) and while I new District of Colombia was a thing, it didn’t click with me until someone told me at lunch in DC. So yeah.

That's been debunked several times. There isn't enough of a pressure difference to actually suck anything large, like a human, through a plane window. Unless the plane suffers a large strike to the fuselage, nothing will happen.

I remember having to do cursive as a kid in school, never got the hang of it, and they pushed about how "useful" and important it was.

Pissed me off when I found it it's never used.
