Needs more 14124 stats :P for whatever reason I've gotten that WU at least 5 times in the past week, but I had never seen it before. And it's like 3x normal length

114124 is a study of alpha-helical hairpins. And though it is a small number of atoms at 13,839 it does appear to have a large degree of difficulty as it’s base points is set to 38,000. It was released only 5 days ago.

Somehow managed to push my Titan to 1,3M PPD running 2 GHz core and 5 GHz mem! If I also had my 1070 in the race by now I could possibly be pushing 2M PPD. Sadly the waterblock is still delayed for that thing. Almost three weeks now :(

That is so true.... I'd be mumbling PPDs in the little sleep I got and writing on walls the names of the participants in a restless haze.

My smart meter is showing my house as consuming over 2kW at the moment... oops :) The challenge elsewhere ends today so I'll switch back to folding tonight. The additional systems I put on to help out seems to have prevented my output from dropping too much, but should go up from here :D

Also looking around UK power suppliers, looks like pricing has gone up in general :( best I can do is around 15p/unit, compared to the 12p/unit I'm on now but expires in a few weeks, and 10p/unit I was on the year before that. Current supplier wants 18p/unit if I don't change on expiry.

Main system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 3x 16GB 2R, RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut

I've just checked mine, I'm currently on 12.5p/unit, if I change to British Gas' current cheapest I can switch to now is 16.6/unit. Think I'm gonna have to shop around a bit when my current rate runs out, think a 30% increase is a bit much.

4 tanks (two marine) and 8 systems running here :D Think I'll shut off the Maxwell and Polaris systems tonight, once I moved the newer GPUs back to folding.

Explains the clown picture. I've never ventured into marine, I've got a south/central american cichlid tank and the other is just an assortment of other odds and sods

Somehow managed to push my Titan to 1,3M PPD running 2 GHz core and 5 GHz mem! If I also had my 1070 in the race by now I could possibly be pushing 2M PPD. Sadly the waterblock is still delayed for that thing. Almost three weeks now :(

Are you folding with your watercooled systems 24/7? Asking this because during the 3 or so weeks that I've been folding with my R7 1700 and 980 on a single loop, there is less fluid in the reservoir which I assume has evaporated due to the heat. I'm curious to see if somebody else has experienced this.

If I get into something, I really get into it. At my worst I was running around 14 tanks, but have downsized significantly since then. To vaguely steer this back on topic, I've been thinking of closing more of the other tanks to free up space for more computer setups. Just not into it as much as I used to. Be nice to get my VR system running with a bigger space. Continuous power usage also adds up.

Yeah this is definitely happening for me aswell. I'm also running 24/7 on my water-cooled system. Loop temps are at a constant 50+, and I had to fill up my res once already because the pump was sucking in air! (My res is placed sideways)

@porina @Ben Quigley @skunkmunkey Are you guys on time of use metering? My power utility varies their rate from $0.08 to $0.12 based on time of day with the least expensive power at night, slightly more expensive in the early morning and late afternoons, and peak prices during the day.

It shouldn’t be much work to setup scheduled tasks in Windows to adjust power-limits based on the time of use rate periods. I’ve considered it but as my averages rate is just $0.13 after factoring in all the extras it just didn’t seem worth it.

We should start a thread on How much did your Power Bill go up this month?

I'm not. I don't believe there is any consumer tariff here that varies more than twice a day. There was one that had day and night rates but I don't know if it still exists. That was aimed at homes which had stored heating, so they would charge that overnight.

Thanks, at least I know that's a common occurence. My temps are also around 50C, 45C if I bump the radiator fans to 100%. I just have to monitor it every now and then.

Ours seems to based solely on having enough capacity for businesses to use during the day. Less expensive energy has been used as a incentive for companies to stay in my Province but they still haven’t amortized out all the long term costs of the nuclear generating stations AFAIK.

Solar and Wind is not yet as common here as in other places but we do have a lot of Hydro Electricity.

Hydro is awesome.  I wish more places would do it in small scale so it didn't have to have such a huge impact, despite how well the large scale ones also work.  I want to try it with our little brook and personal size generators, but I'm not sure I have quite enough flow to work with the small drop that it does across my land.  Despite being in snow country, solar will probably happen first this coming spring.
