Fixed my fathers old PC and found his old Pc hardware stash.

A 8800 GTX, a Sound blaster live and a promise fasttrak100 raid controller. There was more but I didn't think it was that intresting.

Blower coolers were nice.

I prefer them over other styles, since my case is designed for blower cards.

I really wanted one of these but couldn't justify the price when my ITX cube is only running an i5 4590 and I don't actually know how loud or how well it cools. I suppose I could swap my ITX HTPC from the Elite 130 to the Core V1 case JUST to use this cooler on the mobile i7 that's overclocked but that seems like a colossal amount of work and money for no reason other than to save 1/2 cu.ft of floor space next to the TV.

In the context of this thread, not really...

This would be better suited for this thread:

IMO, once an architecture/series is not supported by the latest graphics drivers for a company (so Fermi for NVidia, no idea for AMD) it counts as retro. For CPUs, Nehalem/Prescott for Intel, and Athlon XP for AMD.

My GPUs are 8 years old. But I don't think they qualify as "retro" since NVidia still supports them in their drivers.

I love how the micron looks, looks like a nice screen too! I need to find one of these to go with my Millennia lol.

The keyboards on the old laptops feel so much nicer to type on than pretty much any new one I've used. They actually have feel and travel.
