Thank you, @LAR_Systems. 5950X can do 700K PPD? Jesus.

https://folding.lar.systems/cpu_ppd/overall_ranks

Remember, it could... but only if you had it only folding and were doing next to nothing else on the system.

This is why I built a per logical core chart on the CPU profiles https://folding.lar.systems/cpu_ppd/brands/amd/folding_profile/amd_ryzen_9_5950x_16-core_processor
so you can see how PPD might look at different logical core usage thanks to system overhead, GPU folding etc.

I'm holding off swapping the 1650 until the 2600 arrives for the other PC, as more people fall off the folding bandwagon I'm moving up more. I wish hardware prices weren't so messed up right now, 2060's are going for $400 used!?!

WHAT? That's around the same price I got my 2070 OC NEW!

I got swapped over to Linux folding yesterday! My PPD went from around 2.2-2.4 mil PPD (sometimes up to 2.6) to having a good minimum around 2.6 mil PPD if I am not doing anything crazy to as high as a little over to 3 MILL PPD!!!

@LAR_SystemsI noticed on the GPU DB that RADEON RX 6800/6800 XT / 6900 XT showed up! Are they going to eventually get separated or is it something you can't do anything about due to AMD's weird GPU name reporting stuff?

Until FAH can read revision numbers in the bios, they will probably be reported under the same pci id.

@chaozbandit is spot on.  FAH is reporting it that way, I can’t do anything unless they break them up by bios / pci id.  FAH tends to leave AMD cards grouped unfortunately.

Yes, feel the smug of Linux! LOL! I use it for my daily laptop because it's lighter on the old hardware, I use it for folding for stability. My folding box has been up and running for a couple weeks at least without touching it.

Yeah man, prices are all kinds of upside down. I wish I'd bought a 2060KO when they launched but they sold out super fast and then I wouldn't have gotten this Vega56 that I just really like for some inexplicable reason. It *feels* different, maybe it's the HBM2, maybe it's the giant triple fan cooler, maybe it's the RGB, but I like it.

I think I set the record on this...
The 2070 Rev A has now pushed ahead of the 2070 Super, and I feel like it might be related to me switching to Linux...

(The Rev. A is the OC version)

Edit: I may not have actually set it, I was looking at total estimated PPD and not just the GPU PPD... But it is still possible it could have hit that briefly overnight!

I have a 2070a & a 2070 Super in the same system. The 2070super is GPU0 and the 2070A is GPU1. Both are running at the minimum power limits, 125 & 105W respectively, with a +75MHz Graphics over-clock.

I have my power limit set to max right now. My 2070 is doing more like what your 2070 Super is doing lol. Clocks are around 1950-1980MHz (+60).

The 2070 REV A has now pushed above the QUADRO RTX 6000/8000!!!!!! 2080 is gonna be next to get taken out!

This is likely the projects your getting are performing better on your GPU.

Been getting some reports that people are seeing higher PPD on projects that previously did not perform very well.

So enjoy the ride, but if it's consistent across the F@H network others card will start creeping up in average as well.

Question for all of you:  Has anyone been able to install the RPI F@H client?

Been trying to get the package to install on a RPI 4 for testing and have not been able to get the package to complete install.

I assume F@H project resources are pretty light on this, so wondering if it's just my latest build of Raspbian that's the issue, or if anyone has gotten it working.

Thanks
