Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Why do they always destroy pre production cars? It's mind boggling.

Looked like a normal production model. They theoretically could have sold it. Or they could give it to mechanics to dissect it and learn how the car is put together so they know how to service one, should one come in.

They've never had any tax paid on them and theyll have done hundreds of thousands of miles. They could be donated as cars for colleges and stuff to take apart (Like chrysler did with a handful of Vipers) but its easiest to scrap them

I guess when you have Arrows you can drive the wheels off and nobody will be too bothered.

Also would you like some rotary with your turbo?

I more meant they can't sell them, which is why they crush them. They have no true value more than scrap

A 3 cylinder is a smoother running engine because of how it’s inherently balanced, especially with age you won’t have to deal with the roughness that 4cylinders seem to get as they get older

Though modern day 4 cylinders do a good job at being pretty smooth. Early 2000’s though... they all just seem to have this “roughness” to them I can’t explain that I’ve never liked.

As part of the prep to sell it next year, the 200k mile family suburban got brand new headlights today lol (but really the old ones were trashed... the INSIDE of the light housing was beginning to yellow it was that bad...

Idk what we are gonna do about the carpet in the middle row lol... they’ve seen way too many spilled soft drinks over the years. Gross lol

oh and the drivers door squeaks and sticks a little when opened/shut.

Oh oh and we’ve been chasing down code after code after code it seems. Today I changed the purge valve which was simple enough... but we got a new CEL for the TPS today as well. Rip

What makes you say that?

I know it’s near the part I just changed so I double checked to make sure I didn’t unplug it or anything but nope... it’s fine.

Anyway we just picked up a used throttle body for $50 so I’ll just swap it, easy enough... (I hope)
