Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Yeah you see the 6'2"+ foot club is a different ball game, especially asian cars because they tend to make them smaller.

my dad was the main driver of the car, and he's like 5'7", so he fit fine in there, and i'm sure he can fit in a mazda 3 comfortably. me, however, at 5'10", might be a tad uncomfortable in a mazda 3 (i'm the tallest in my family btw).

You'll be fine with a Mazda 3. I'm like 6'1" and lots of room to spare.

I will always think the final version of the murcielago is best looking Lambo.

good choice wasn't the biggest fan of the early murcielago's but I do like the later versions, my personal favorite lamborghini will always be the muria.

I care -- to a point. It's cool that they exist but I'm not gonna salivate over something I'll never be able to afford

yeah part of me cares because they are nice and the engineers put in a lot of work making lambos into a work of art, but part of me doesn't care because you'll never see me in one of these ever.

even still, if i had a shit ton of money, i'd still buy a sub 100k car and build it up to a way where it's fast, functional, stylish, and comfortable. for me, it would be something like a wide body r35 gtr. those engines have amazing potential, and some nice body mods can make it pop.

i've always thought the new mazdas seemed much larger than previous generations on the outside, but pretty cramped on the inside. like that's how it is in my corolla. it's pretty cramped compared to the previous gen, despite being bigger on the outside.

I parked next to a 3rd gen the other day. They're about the same even though the 3rd gens look way bigger

maybe mazda designed the 3rd gen 3 to make it look larger to your eyes than it really seems.

Not really just the 3, the CX-3 looks a lot bigger than they are. Those things are tiny. CX-9s are huge though.

the cx-9 looks and is huge, but it seems to be wasted space in some parts, since it has less cargo capacity and passenger space than its competitors. maybe all that sound deadening is taking up some of that space.

it can work, i can fiddle around a bit to get it to work. i've seen wide body r35s on the track before. they don't set record breaking lap times, but they're still fast.

I care about the engineering and tech that go into them. But the cars themselves, don't interest me at all. They're just all so similar.

You have a point --- but also this used to not be the case.

It more or less is the case now because there's hardly anything left to do... We're pretty much at a performance peak right now. Not much will improve
